Blar Cottage (Private Sauna + Fast Starlink Wifi)

Summary:
The perfect retreat for a stay with friends or family. The cottage has been refurbished to provide a comfortable and stylish space to relax in beautiful surrounds. Whether you are wanting an adventure packed holiday or just to sit and read a book with beautiful views over Loch Awe the cottage offers something for everyone.

The Space:
Internally the lodge has 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom has a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom and with stunning views over the loch. There is a further double bedroom with loch views. The main living space includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining table, and open-plan living area with access to the balcony and views over the loch and out to the hills in the distance.
We have also installed a new sauna at the property for our guests to enjoy.

Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the cottage for the duration of their stay.

The Neighborhood:
The property is located in a rural location on the banks of Loch Awe. The development is accessed via a track that brings you from the road down to the lochside. Ardbrecknish House is at the top of the track and serves meals and has a bar. The closest town is Inveraray, which is 15 minutes by car. Inveraray has numerous cafes, bars, restaurants, and takeaways as well as a Co-op where you will be able to pick up any supplies you need.

Getting Around:
Due to the rural nature of the property you will require a car. If people are coming to meet you during your stay they would be able to get a bus from Glasgow to Inveraray.

Other Things to Note:
We can arrange rental of a high chair and a travel cot if needed during your stay

Please note, check in is not available on the 25th of December and the 1st of January.

For insurance purposes, the lead booker must be over 25. ID verification is required on all bookings.

This is a beautiful property tucked away far from everything. The views are stunning. The owner was responsive. The unit was clean. A lot of amenities available (although sorely lacking in toilet paper). I only had one gripe. I specifically choose units with a washing machine, especially as my partner and I travel light. This unit does have a clothes washer. Our stay here was almost a week, and we were planning on doing our laundry. On day two I contacted the host to say the machine was not working. She said she would have someone out to look at it. No one ever came but she told me it would not be possible to fix until after our departure. It wasn’t the end of the world but it was a huge inconvenience. I would have appreciated an offer of compensation for our discomfort, but none was offered. Other than that disappointment, it was a truly beautiful setting. Peaceful and quiet.
