About the host
Hosted by Gavin Knights
My name is Gavin and my wife and I purchased the property in June 2021. The property was previously run as Newlands Guest house very successfully for a number of years but unfortunately became uneconomical to continue to run as a hotel. We therefore took the decision to turn the main hotel into our private house and set up a second plot which includes 7 self-catering holiday lodges which we named Lytton Tree Lodge. Over the last few years we have continue to invest in the property and will shortly have high speed internet available along with electric car chargers and we hope to continue with improvements and investment over the next few years.
Why they chose this property
Lytton Tree Lodge is just a 1 mile walk or drive to Southwold. If walking, you can either walk along the path on the Halesworth Road or you can take an off-road walk across the marsh where you can visit Southwold Harbour or venture to Walberswick. We are very lucky to be surrounded by beautiful walks and nature.
What makes this property unique
As we are outside of Southwold, we are able to offer off-road parking, a large garden area and our bedrooms are very big with walk-in bathrooms and facilities for disabled guests.
