An Eclectic Property with History and off the Beaten Path
A very eclectic property with super friendly hosts. The nearby train crossing is now "hornless", so ignore old property reviews from 2019 and prior that complain about train horn noise. The trains only toot a horn now if humans or animals are on the tracks. The hosts provide earplugs if you are still concerned. Very quiet place at night, gorgeous stars and planets. Another guest brought a telescope for her birthday one night, and the seeing was great! If you do not have a telescope bring binoculars and look at stars at night, and maybe the moon too! Comfortable and workable spaces offered to guests, and not "plain Jane", every inch is covered in history and art and in the casitas we stayed in you have your own kitchen and TV for relaxing time. Games are available, and books too. Guest spaces have guest controlled available portable heater units and a swamp cooler for cooling (at 4,500 feet plus elevation our stay in April/May was very comfortable, but we never needed or used the swamp cooler).
If you want the Ritz, look elsewhere. If you want a unique experience and time away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, this is the place. It was perfect for our work group's needs (project near Willcox) and the hosts accommodated our every request, sometimes on short notice. We even arrived late and departed late and they were very reasonable and helpful with these specific needs of ours. A memorable stay!

Not Of VRBO Quality
There is so much wrong with this offering that I am choosing to highlight only a few items. Please know that I have been in contact with the owner and shared everything that we felt was wrong with her. To begin, the owner is a very nice lady and very appreciative of our feedback. The couple that help her, Kevin and Leslie were wonderful and very helpful. However, this property is not ready for quests. Almost everything that is listed as amenities on her website is inaccurate. There are no amenities in Dragoon; in fact there is nothing in Dragoon. The Golden Rule Winery is a few miles from this property and offers great wine tastings but no food; the owners are super. They grow their own pistachios which are wonderful. The casitas are not ready and there are not two complete kitchens. In fact, the one casita with a kitchen needs to be gutted and redone. About the only thing on the webpage that is real is the picture of the main home and the pond with the waterful in front. Fortunately, my husband took our camping firering or we would not have been able to enjoy the meals we brought. Triangle T Ranch is a couple of miles from this property but it is not a public property. The amenities that she shows on her website are for their quests and their restaurant is only open to the public on Saturday but it is a fun place. There are no restaurants, shopping or grocery stores close to her property. You would have to go to Benson or Wilcox. Basically, this is an old property with a lot of run down structures and junk everywhere. And it is right next to the railroad track and a crossing, so the trains run all day and night and due to regulation, the engineers have to honk their horns 4 times when the make this crossing. We have stayed at several VRBO offerings that were wonderful but we feel that this offering needs to be removed from the VRBO offerings. The owner is refunding our money which we appreciate but if it had not been for the Willcox Wine Festival on Saturday and Sunday, when we arrived on Friday, we would have immediately left.
