Large house with some downsides
Overall, we had an adequate visit to this large home in Reading. My family of 10 stayed for six days in March. The home has three stories, with a bedroom on the main floor, three bedrooms on the second story, and the final bedroom on the top floor. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. We had enough space for everyone and the kitchen and living room are nicely sized. There were several negatives I feel are important for other travelers to be aware of. - First, the top floor bathroom shower did not have any hot water. - Second, none of the bathrooms had any body soap. We had to buy our own or use the shampoo as body wash.- Third, there is a washer/dryer combo, but the dryer does not adequately dry the clothes. After every load we had to hang the clothes to dry wherever we could find room.- Fourth, each bathroom is only supplied with two bath towels and two wash cloths. This required us to do a significant amount more laundry than we anticipated. - Fifth, the home has almost no sound insulation, either between walls, floors, or the connected duplex. We could hear everyone's muffled conversations or music throughout the home, which made sleeping a challenge for some of our party.
