Stay by the sea in Westcliff, a short train ride from London. Dog-friendly!

Our cosy, peaceful, light-filled house in Westcliff is the perfect base for a seaside break and day trips to London. It's 50 minutes by train to Fenchurch Street Station or 40 minutes to Stratford (and on to Liverpool Street Station).

The beach and seaside promenade is a 20-minute on foot from the house. You'll have a friendly local craft beer place at the bottom of your road, and excellent Thai, Turkish and seafood restaurants close by. And Westcliff's best-loved fish and ship shop is around the corner.

The two-bedroom house has two good-sized bedrooms, a fireplace for when it's cold and a garden with two dining areas and a barbecue for spring and summer.

The old fishing village of Leigh-on-Sea is 5 minutes on the train (or 40 minutes on foot) along the beach: great for cosy pubs, cafes, ice cream, and the fishmonger.

Beautiful walks are on your doorstep: try Belfairs or Hockley for forests, Paglesham or Cherry Orchard for wide open landscapes, and Two Tree Island or Benfleet-to-Leigh for stunning estuary sceneries. If you're coming with your dog(s), they will love these!
