The Buck Shack, located next to a 300 acre nature preserve, is completely surrounded by wooded land and tons of wildlife. This property is nestled on 7 acres of land. Only 10 minutes from Tappan Lake, a 2,350 lake including a waterfront restaurant with boat rentals. The surrounding attractions include the Dennison Train Depot, Amish Country and multiple wineries. The Buck Shack now has WI-FI!

Everything in this remodeled cottage is new including the pillow top mattresses and washer and dryer.

The Buck Shack offers a FULLY EQUIPPED kitchen with everything you need to cook, and eat. We offer a stove, an oven, a toaster oven, a toaster, a 4 quart crockpot, a traditional coffee pot, a Keurig machine and a microwave. Shampoo, body wash, towels, linens, coffee, dishes, laundry soap, pillow top mattresses, feather down pillows; everything you need is here! We even have an outdoor fire pit and a propane grill to use at your leisure. A DVD player and a full package from Dish are available as well as WI-FI for you and your guests to enjoy during your stay. The Buck Shack is the perfect place for your weekend getaway!

The Buck Shack`s whole 7 acres is available at your leisure. A fire pit in the back yard is the perfect spot to spend the evening. Enjoy your morning coffee watching the sunrise on our front porch!

The surrounding attractions include the Dennison Train Depot, the Uhrichsville Water Park, The Warther Wood Carving Museum, Amish Country and multiple wineries. Everything in this remodeled cottage is new including the pillow top mattresses and washer and dryer.

The check-in time is at 3 P.M. but is flexible however the check-out time is 11 A.M sharp. If you check-out later than 11 A.M. a late fee will be charged. Pets are considered. This is a non-smoking home.

Buck Shack is Beautiful!

We wanted a peaceful getaway and that’s what got at the Buck Shack. We were a short drive with breathtaking views and landscapes. We enjoyed a campfire with s’mores at night. Enjoyed the sound of nature and birds singing. Had excellent communication with host and most everything we needed when we arrived. The indoor decor is rustic and beautifully decorated with small accents and details. Highly recommend!☺️

This is a trailer which isnt a problem just not very appealing when you first arrive. The inside is very thought out and a lot of effort but not as clean as i expected.

Lovely

The Buck Shack didn’t look like much from the outside but the owners did a great job renovating the entire inside with a rustic theme. I went as a girls trip with a friend. Everything was clean besides the grill that didn’t work. However they had plenty of pots and pans and kitchen items available. If you expected some kind of land to explore be prepared for a very large incline. I’m overall really happy with my stay.

We couldn't be happier with our stay at the buck shack. We are originally from a very small town in western ma but moved to the city in SC a few years back so our stay here was very quiet, relaxing and reminded me of home. The inside is organized so thoughtfully and throughout the whole place that it just gives you that rustic, cabin feel! Pretty much everything you need is provided there for you which is extremely convenient. One of the best parts for me personally is how attentive and responsive Sarah is. She got back to me sometimes within a minute of me writing to her. Communication is key! We will definitely be back in the future :)

No driveway parking

Hi David! We do have a driveway so I’m not entirely sure what you’re referring to when you state there is no driveway parking. Per our messages before you arrived, I stated there would not be parking for your boat and offered to refund your stay to which you replied “I really don’t want to cancel.”

This was a perfect place to have a little get away weekend. I was a little misguided when I pulled up to the place and it was a single-wide. By the description we thought it was a cabin. Other than that it’s a beautiful interior and I love the cabin feel on the inside!

I had a good trip at the Buck Shack. The property was very clean when we arrived. There were a couple things that needed repair like the handle on the dryer and the shower handle. We were still able to enjoy ourselves and would likely return in the future.

Multiple things were dirty when we checked in, the grass was not mowed at all, the water pressure was super low and not very much hot water. When I first arrived it was 59 degrees in the house.

Great getaway

Don't be fooled by the outside of this property the property manager has done an amazing job renovating the entire inside. We found the property very clean and comfortable. This is close to Amish country and close to the Denison train museum. Sitting on the front porch in the morning is a bird watchers dream. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
