Victoria Albert is one of the largest properties at The Victorian Barn Dorset, offering spacious group accommodation for up to 16 guests within our family-run 65-acre countryside estate.

Converted from a Victorian cattle barn dating back to 1849, the property combines character features with generous modern living spaces, making it ideal for family gatherings, celebrations, reunions and weekends away with friends.

Victoria Albert is fully self-contained for your group, with its own kitchen, living areas, bedrooms and private hot tub. It forms part of a larger barn complex and is attached to neighbouring holiday accommodation on the estate. The wider leisure facilities and grounds are shared with guests staying in our other cottages.

Spacious Group Living

Victoria Albert is designed for larger groups who want plenty of room to relax, dine and spend time together.

The generous dining room seats up to 16 guests, making it ideal for group meals and celebrations.

The spacious lounge has comfortable seating, a bespoke bar area and a wall-mounted 75-inch Smart TV, creating a great social space for evenings together.

The ground-floor kitchen is fully equipped for group stays and includes a Range cooker, while the first-floor kitchenette provides useful additional facilities.

There is also underfloor heating and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Victoria Albert sleeps up to 16 guests across five bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The bedroom layout includes:

King ensuite bedroom with countryside views
King bedroom with private whirlpool bath
Two ensuite bedrooms with a double and single bed
Large family bedroom with Juliette balcony

The bedrooms are comfortably furnished and the bathrooms include high-pressure showers, with quality bed linen provided.

Victoria Albert has its own private outdoor hot tub exclusively for guests staying in the property.

There is also a patio area for outdoor seating and dining, along with open lawn space and countryside views across the estate.

    The property was perfect for what we needed - so much useable space that even with a group of 15 of us we never felt on top of each other. The facilities on site were brilliant for families - something for everyone and the swimming pool was a definite win! The location is remote and incredibly beautiful.     Amazing place to stay

    Spent a weekend at the Victorian Barn with 13 friends and it was everything and more. The barn is amazing and has so much space, was very clean and has everything we wanted. Would thoroughly recommend to others.

    Birthday family get away

    I have just come back from a weekend away at the Victorian Barn. The accommodation was very clean, spacious & it had great facilities on site for all the family.     Amazing experience

    Everything was better than expected. Cleanliness, Lounge, dining and room sizes were very good size. More than enough fridges to keep all the foods fresh. Good size freezer. The two TVs kept the kids entertained. A massive size of ground allows people to play outdoor games. An enclosed games area for all ages. Private use of jaccuzi was very good for relaxation. Pool area gets cleaned after every session which was very unexpected and extremely good. Dry sauna had one of those glass sand timer. The owners Penny & Claire have been great hosts and would definitely go again next year.

    Not what we expected.

    As we’ve just been through a heat wave it was disappointing all the bedrooms are upstairs didn’t have any fans to cool us down in the evenings, ergo lots of sleep lost.The boiler cover was held on with bits of tape. if we had a young baby with us they could have injured themselves quite badly.The cooker was useless one of the ovens didn’t reach its proper temperature making cooking difficult to do.The decor was very dated and the couches in the living room were uncomfortable.Couldn’t see the point of the bar in the living room. The place itself looked and was tatty and no were near the standard we expected for the money we paid.The pool/snooker room was too hot to spend any time in.The rackets etc for badminton were very cheap and out of shape. The pillow’s were so hard and uncomfortable. The bed linen didn’t fit properly on all beds.The mugs were promotional give aways from various companies.We could go on but in excess of 3:5 k for what is basically two days is excessive, the quality we all have at home is far greater than we enjoyed there. We wanted it to be a special place like a couple of other properties we have hired historically.We wanted the wow factor and we didn’t get anywhere near it.It was great being together as a family but the property lacked sparkle, it needs a complete overhaul to meet the money being charged.

    Property was exactly what we needed for our group. It was in a lovely setting with great resources. There were some quiet private areas and communal areas which were spacious.     Brilliant for large groups!

    Very impressive space, didn’t feel on top of each other and the pool and hot tub were very well maintained. We were a large group of 12 and it worked very well.

    Great stay

    Had a lovely time here with the family for my mother in laws 60th. The house was huge, with plenty of room for 15 guests to not be on top of each other. Facilities were excellent. Highly recommend for a weekend.
