The main/master bedroom has a nice king-sized bed, while the remaining rooms are furnished with a nice soft sized bed (s), comfortable for sleeping people.

The home has 4 fully furnished bedrooms. Rates run from $125 to $200 per night. Whitetail has two levels, ground level and lower level. The entire ground level offers 3 bedrooms a large living room, dining room, kitchen and two bathrooms. The entire ground level may be rented for $350. The lower level includes a full sized bedroom, kitchen tv viewing room, a room with two twin beds one bathroom and a storm shelter. The lower level may be rented for $250 per night. The whole house rental is $450.

Amazing opportunity

This is a wonderful place to stay - it is secluded and private, and there is no shortage of opportunity for play and rest. Gary is easy to work with, and we will certainly go back given the opportunity to in the future.

The Perfect Getaway!

This property is amazing if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, getaway with friends and/or family! Gary was very easy to work with and answered every question we had before and during our stay. We had a group of 10 and it accommodated all of us comfortably! There is beautiful scenery and wildlife that you just can't get anywhere else. I hope we have the opportunity to stay again in the future!

Beautiful and Quiet

The ranch house was a great place for our family to be together and have space at the same time. The house was clean and well equipped. We did a lot of cooking in that spacious kitchen (with a dishwasher!). Very dog friendly with room to explore. The area is beautiful with many activities within an hour drive. Thanks to Gary for sharing his beautiful retreat.

The house and the surrounding land are beautiful. It's quiet and nestled back in the woods. The house is well built, spacious, and easily accommodated eight adults. The owners left nice messages and even a few treats for us. The only gripe I could give is the road leading up to the house. It is very rough and small cars could easily bottom out. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and made some great memories!

In town for a wedding

We were in town for my son’s wedding and this was the perfect location for my outdoor loving family. The home was just as pictured, and the owner, Gary, called in advance with instructions. We arrived at night, so the driveway was fun! When we awoke the next morning we were in awe of the scenery and wildlife. We enjoyed coffee on the deck while watching the deer. The kids loved the big yard and basement. My sons loved the big couch and TV downstairs to watch football. We will definitely look for this property when back in the area. Just wish we would have had more than 3 days.

Beautiful Property!

We stayed at this property to attend our son's wedding. The home was perfect for our three couples and several teens. The basement was a great place for the younger ones to hang out, although it was pretty damp and humid. We loved the kitchen space and there were plenty of bathrooms. The road getting to the house was much better than we had been warned about. The property is very secluded and safe. We even took a few minutes to wade in the creek, which was great! We loved the outdoor space around the house and the wildlife was amazing! I would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for somewhere secluded and quiet. I would also say that with the cell phone booster and excellent wifi, it is also a place you can still work remotely from, which is definitely a bonus for a place like this!

Perfect Remote Cabin Stay for Float Trip

The cabin is private and secluded with a spring fed stream you can wade in. It is spacious enough for a large group with 2 refrigerators. It is close enough to schedule a float in the area on the river. It worked perfectly for our large group, there was plenty of space indoors and out. The host was awesome and made everything easy for the booking process. If you are looking for a great place to stay, definitely give it a try!

Family Vacation

Gary provided good communication and emailed me prior to my arrival to facilitate directions to the property. The property had a number of sleeping options which made it perfect for a multi family gathering.

Memorial Day weekend at the ranch

We had a great weekend! We try to book a place once every couple years for the whole family to meet.. The open property was great for the kids and our dogs. It was remote, peaceful and beautiful. Plenty of sleeping room for 10. We spent evenings sitting around the firepit. Made smores and enjoyed the quiet. Kids played basketball and yard games. Some of us got up early Saturday morning and drove to the Amish bakery for wonderful breads and goodies. (Be there by 830, the line of customers gets long and the store runs out of baked goods) we also stopped at the Amish market. One day we drove to the sand bar at the little Niangua. There is a trail on the property. I suggest 4 wheel drives. Our kids made boats and we held boat races, they played in the water and had lunch. Gary was a great host. He communicated with me several times prior to our visit and was very nice. The house had most everything we needed. I would suggest bringing lawn chairs if you want to enjoy your coffee outside in the morning. He has a few but we had 10 people. We always go prepared so it worked out fine. Definitely would return to this property.

Ranch stay

The property was the perfect get away for our family. Very private, quite, and absolutely gorgeous!!! Gary was also very helpful. You could just tell he was a very genuine person. We really appreciate him opening up his home to us.

Perfect Retreat!

Gary's place is fantastic! A group of 8 of us spent the weekend at the Ranch and spent Saturday floating the Niangua (call Terry at Majestic Views Outfitters- great service and price for a float). The property is beautiful and secluded and the house was perfect for our group. We all had our necessary privacy but the lodge had a warm and inviting feel. Gary made the check-in/checkout process easy as can be and checked in to make sure he couldn't do anything else for us to improve our stay. We will definitely be staying at Gary's place again for our next float!

Great country retreat

Beautiful property off the beaten path. We stayed here for a fishing trip to Bennett Springs, and the location was great. Just a 15 minute drive to the park. Very cool area to explore - there is a creek on the property and lots of land so that you really feel away from everything. We used the fire pit outside for smores! The house is in great shape and clean - though the basement was a little damp from all of the rain we have had this year. We would come back!

We loved our time at Gary's ranch, and especially enjoyed the privacy, peace, and quiet

We had a big group out to Gary's ranch for a bachelor party. The house has every amenity you could ask for, and all the privacy you could want. We loved having all the space to ourselves and the house more than comfortably slept 10. Gary was a great host and very responsive to our questions and requests. I would highly recommend that anyone who wanted a relaxing stay in the country check out Gary's house.

I have been a teacher, and presently a cattleman and a small business owner. I enjoy reading and writing and visiting with people but I am not intrusive on their wants and needs or their lifestyle. I train dogs for competitive agility, frisbee and demos. I am a fan of dogs that have been rescued and will foster a dog on occasion.

Why they chose this property

This property is located in the middle of Amish country and provides a beautiful setting for your enjoyment. It is close to many outdoor recreational opportunities such as fishing, horseback riding and walking or hiking.

What makes this property unique

I chose this property because there are no immediate neighbors so no intrusion into my personal business or hobbies. It has the benefit of nearby excellent small Amish businesses such as a restaurant and fully stocked grocery plus other fruit and vegetable markets. It is close the Leadmine Conservation area which provides miles of horseback trails and the Niangua River. It is only a short drive to Bennet Spring for trout fishing or Lake Pomme de Terre for swimming, boating and fishing. Also it is a drivable distance to the founding location of Bass Pro Shops in Springfield and Branson, Missouri, the country music capital of the world. Lucas Oil Speedway , at Wheatland , Mo. is just a short drive away. The lane through the property into the ranch house gives the aura of coming into another world of peace and quiet. Deer and turkey abound on the property .
