Came up for fishing on the Tippy. Nice quiet place with a good bed and hot shower. Didn't use the kitchen much but know the microwave works and the fridge is cold.
Stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The place is quaint, quiet and cute! The one downside, is that the listing doesn’t 100% show the entrance or accurately show the front of the property with how many trees there are. I love how it’s tucked in the woods. You’ll find this property down the 2 track and then when it opens up at the property, be mindful if you’re pulling a trailer as it’s tight with the number of trees. We were able to maneuver the boat there, but it came as a surprise when we pulled in just how little wiggle room there was. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The heater in the bathroom was a nice touch during the chilly nights :) Would stay here again
Very basic accommodation. It is a simple, clean and mostly quiet place to stay. Most of the rooms are dark and the shower leaves a bit to be desired. That said, it has everything you need as long as you’re not looking for plush comforts or a light and airy feeling. On a map, if it appears as though he location is on Cravens Road you have the right place. All in all, the price is suitable for what you get.
First off, I’d like to thank David for being very accommodating during my stay. I was in a car accident that delayed my arrival. I was disappointed that I was going to have a shorter stay at the cabin. David was very understanding, and let me extend my stay in another cabin that he owned. Highly recommend staying at one of his nice cabins.
Nice place for the price. If you're looking for a fancy place, this may not be what you want. If you are looking for a place that is secluded, has outdoor space and has the basics, it's a good place to hunker down for a fishing r snowmobiling trip.
This is a beautiful property. The cabin was comfortable and I had all I needed for a weekend getaway with my black lab. Thank you, David for letting us stay in your place.
Stayed here for a fall fishing trip. The property was just as described. David was great and made sure we knew how to get there. It was very cozy and clean and just the right size for our group. We'd definitely stay here again!
Secluded cabin in the Wood. We went up to see the fall colors and go to Manistee on Lake Michigan.
Quiet, peaceful location. Close to hiking trails and Lake Michigan. We went to see the fall colors. But this would be a great place for a fisherman only a mile or so from the river and a nice boat launch. The only issue I had there was only one half roll of toilet paper in the bathroom when I arrived had to go to To buy some more
The location was lovely, though there was a dead mouse in the salt box on the porch, which was relatively recent. after a quick removal, we enjoyed a nice weekend of unplugging from the world and just playing board games

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Not clean!
It is very dirty. The cupboards are packed and stacked with items from previous renters. All the silverware kitchen are just heaped into a cupboard. they have a regular coffee pot and a Kurig coffee pot on the counter. When I was in town, I bought coffee pods for the cure. Just to find out if Kurig doesn’t work The windows do not open and there is no AC. I actually resented having to pay $30 for pet clean up, as the cottage is so dirty.
