Meadow Cottage - Grade II Georgian cottage on small private country estate, sleeps six guests in three bedrooms.
Meadow Cottage is one of two Grade II Georgian stone cottages in stunning countryside (alongside Clearbrook Lodge, also avail) on a small, secure, very private country estate. Full of character (former coachman’s cottage) built 1831, it enjoys an elevated position with private enclosed garden in beautifully landscaped grounds, paddocks, wildflower meadows, ancient woodland (owners have zipwire which guests can use at own risk), ponds and lake with island directly behind (owners have row boat and paddle board which guests can use at own risk). An ideal retreat if seeking a relaxing escape. The gated estate has 55 acres of enclosed land to explore incl apiary (bees - outside fenced area), sheep, bridges. winding streams. Plenty of parking, BBQ, woodburner, Smart TV. (Netflix, Amazon Prime), Alexa, radio, coffee machine, cafetiere, washing machine etc. Spring fed water supply, solar panels and lake source heating. Kitchen/dining room, sitting room with large hearth and French doors (former entry for coaches) and 3 bedrooms (large 4 poster with en suite), double and twin. Guests enjoy FARMERS Welsh Lavender luxury toiletries made nearby. Coast path 20mins drive. 2 of 3 of Wales National Parks 40mins drive (Pembrokeshire + Brecon Beacons). Gower (AONB) 40mins drive. Owners’ zip wire in woods which can be used by guests at their own risk. The estate is very secure, private gated access, fully enclosed boundary. Eco friendly - air and water source heat pumps in cottages and solar panels. The cottages enjoy a spring fed, private water source. Locally sourced toiletries from Welsh Lavender Farmers, grown on a small Welsh hill farm not far away, inspired by the labour of Welsh hill farmers and only for special guests, including those staying at the Savoy Hotel. Clearbrook estate’s honey for you on arrival - the apiary produces and sells honey locally. Electric oven, induction hob, double fridge freezers for extra fridge space, washing machine, iron, electric airer, microwave, Smart TV, WiFi, Alexa, Radio, hair dryer. Coffee machine, some pods provided (Nespresso Vertuo) more available to buy + cafetiere. Wood and starter pack for woodburning stove included. Bed linen and towels included. Enclosed rear garden with patio furniture and barbecue. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Off-road parking for 6 cars. Travel cot, highchair, stairgate. The River Tywi, c 1m away, is internationally famed for its salmon, sea trout (sewin) and brown trout fly fishing; Guides and lessons can be arranged.
