Cabin 01 is very well heated, T2 of 35m2 with all comfort, fitted out in part of the hold of a barge from the 1950s with a beautiful terrace to enjoy the environment. A separate bedroom with a double bed as well as a single bed in the living room.

Free parking 300m away. Everything is in the kitchen, desk for writing, living room, and terrace for relaxing... City center 10 minutes on foot. Many tourist sites are within a 1/4 hour walk. Market on Saturday and Sunday morning and supermarket nearby.

I booked this property due to its location and I liked the idea of staying on a houseboat. For travelers from the US Beware !VRBO sent me an email indicating I was all set and charges had been paid.Two days before arrival I got an email asking for payment from the host and to forward full payment for the houseboat before check in instructions would be released. After several panicked calls to VRBO, it was explained to me that this was an independent listing and payment was needed to be sent to the host. I am not sure why I got an email from VRBO stating payment had been made. Once I got the Hosts’ ( Etienne) tel number we were able to communicate and sort things out.Apparently in France wiring money to bank accounts is normal. I did not feel comfortable with this and Etienne was not able to use Venmo.The Host ( Etienne) agreed to me paying cash when I arrived and released check in instructions. He was very responsive and quick to respond to txt messages. He met me at the barge for payment and gave me lots of great dinning recommendations. Metz is a beautiful French town. Not so touristy and definitely worth a visit for a day or two. The barge was in a great quiet location with a very nice 20 min walk along the river into town. Shame on me for assuming VRBO would handle all payment instructions ( That is one of the reasons I use this site) I don’t remember seeing any instructions saying a payment would need to be sent overseas. Regardless I would highly recommend.

nous avons apprécié le cadre sur l'eau, à l'ombre. Malgré la chaleur extérieure, il faisait une température appréciable dans la cabine. La terrasse est bien aménagée et agréable. La literie est confortable. Nous avons déjà recommandé la péniche à des amis et nous retenterons l'expérience.

EVG sur une péniche !

Très très agréablement supris par la péniche, c'est propre, ça sent bon, c'est spacieux. Nous sommes très grands, on avait peur de ne pas avoir assez d'hauteur sous plafond, mais c'est totalement ok. La déco et les installations sont super Localisation parfaite pour visiter metz ! Le propriétaire est disponible et sympa, merci pour votre acceuil !! Je recommande vivement, nous avons réservé la cabine 1 et la cabine 2

Excellent séjour en hiver de 5 jours à bord de la cabine 1 de la péniche Ma pensée, amarrée quai St Symphorien. Excellent contact avec le propriétaire, très à l'écoute et serviable. Le quai est calme, facile d'accès avec plusieurs possibilités de parking à quelques centaines de mètres. Chemins de halage et de sport entourent la péniche de part et d'autre. A bord tout confort, suffisamment spacieux pour 3 personnes, cuisine équipée et petit & gros ménager proposé (cafetièresenseo, grille-pain, micro-ondes, four ...) pour un séjour autonome. La péniche est lumineuse, bien agencée et comporte un grand meuble-dressing pour y déposer toutes ses affaires.A 30 minutres à pieds nous avons pu profiter des 5 marchés de noél, de la cathédrale splendide, d'un jeu de piste propos par l'office du tourisme, de nombreuses rues piétonnes buccoliques de Metz, des magasins, d'un mapping au temple neuf, du jardin botannique et ses serres tropicales (10 minutes).A 30 minutes en voiture nous avons également profité du zoo d'amnéville et son spectacle luminescence , Marques Avenue...Les activités en hiver ne manquent pas si l'on a des goûts ecléctiques on est servis. Nombreux restaurants de tous genres.Le propriétaire loue également une cabine pour 2 et une cabine pour 6 personnes (avec poële à bois :-).Une belle expérience en cette période de noël, que nous allons partager avec amis et connaissances volontiers.Merci Etienne et belle année à vous.

Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft! Elegantes Appartement auf altem Lastkahn, sehr hundefreundlich, engagierter Gastgeber. Wenn im nahe gelegenen Fußballstadion ein Heimspiel des FC Metz stattfindet, bebt jedoch die Erde! Küche leider schlecht ausgestattet und etwas ungepflegt. Ansonsten: großartig!

Très belle découverte

Séjour hors du temps, calme et reposant, à quelques encablures de la ville. Cabine très bien agencée, la chambre séparée est un vrai plus. Tout est bien pensé et très bien équipé pour passer un agréable moment. Très facile d'accès avec un parking à proximité.
