The space was clean with everything we needed. The location was excellent! Very close to the Plaza de Armas, good restaurants, small markets, and Temple of San Cristobal. Just a walk to other shopping. Very quick responses when we had any questions. Be prepared to walk up and down a lot of steps! We would definitely stay here again!
This apartment was really soecial! The hostess was incredibly responsive throughout our booking process and our stay. The apartment was truly cozy and charming- full of unique touches and cool architecture--stone walls, neat wrought iron work, brightly painted window panes and shutters, gorgeous tiled steps, and a unique tile floor. The beds were all very comfy and there were ample warm blankets. We arrived earlier than expected to Cuzsco and, with very little advance notice, the hostess allowed us to drop our bags off a little early. She also advised us as to the closest cross street to have our driver drop us off to the apartment. The street the apartment is located on is absolutely charming! The steps are a bit challenging with heavy luggage but DEFINITELY worth the work! There was a fantastic restaurant right below the apartment with terrific food and amazing views of the city and the plaza. The apartment has 3 heaters- two portable heaters and one wall unit in the main bedroom (we didn't realize there was a wall unit so just want to give future visitors a heads up). The living area was super comfortable for the three of us. The refrigerator and microwave were both new. We really appreciated the tea bags, cocoa leaves and sugar.🫖The apartment was super clean and the location was superb! Can't wait to visit again!
The location is beautiful. Make sure you are fit to climb stairs. There is a restaurant steps down for lunch and dinner called Territorio. One of the best meals we had in all of Peru. A delicious breakfast and lunch spot called Época. We loved the house. It did get cold in nov and the host graciously provided a space heater for the 2nd bedroom. We only stayed two nights so we did not do any cooking in the kitchen. It seems stocked with pots and pans, but make sure to buy paper towels. I highly recommend this location. You’re close to San Cristobal, one minute walk. You’re close to sample Crystal following a path for a walk. I’m about 15-20 mins. Family of 4 with lots of space. Access to Netflix. Very responsive host.
I have tips- private corner in a historic neighborhood
I have tips. This apartment is in the historic Inca district of Cusco. This means that the area has elements of Inca and Spanish Architecture- very cool! I really enjoyed the 1st impression once I entered the space. tiled floor, fireplace, unique floor design- So much so that I took photos to share with my family. You are in the Mountains- very high! You will feel the Altitude in Cusco. The road- Calle Resbalosa, means slippery street in Spanish. I imagine it was VERY slippery before they put in stairs. There are appro 90 stairs you will take to get to your apt if you travel up from Plaza Mayor de Armas. It gets cold at night and you will want a room heater, which my host provided at my request. My host Ruth was VERY quick to respond and a delight to work with. All I had to do was ask and she would quickly help. I would say that max capacity is 5- 2 Q beds for couples, and a single bed for a solo, but one room contains a Q and the single bed while the other contains only a single bed. There is a restaurant directly overhead which I did not notice for 3 days. This restaurant probably has the best view of Cusco- seriously. It is better than the church Mirador de San Cristobal which is right there. The food is good, drinks are good too. Just bring a jacket! Trust me. I was not too taken by the fireplace which I did use several times. It was difficult to start and keep going, and that there was not enough draft to keep the smoke out of the apt. Overall very satisfied!
