This apartment is in a perfect location, within a five to ten minute walk of shops, restaurants, bars, Kelvingrove Park, and the university. The beds are comfortable, plenty of towels are provided, and the place was clean. But this is an old property -- that doesn't show up in the listing photos. The sofas in the living room (which are at floor level) are stained in places, as are the rugs throughout. Blinds are broken, tiling is coming off the shower wall, the toilet seat is detaching, the bathroom door lock doesn't work, and the mirror in one of the bedrooms fell off the wall while we were there (it had been stuck on only with a couple of small Command squares). The host was very responsive when these things were brought to their attention and offered to send someone over to fix them the same day. But we didn't want our holiday interrupted by maintenance and repair workers fixing things that should've been fixed before we arrived. This is a fairly decent place to stay, but with a little love and attention it could be a great place to stay.
