About this property

Rustic Farmhouse near Brenham/College Station

This charming farmhouse is located on a 364 acre working cattle ranch in the rolling hills of Central Texas. The house is surrounded by hundred year old oak trees, and is 100 yards away from a 7 acre lake teeming with fish. Deer are everywhere. Stroll through paths in the woods, fish, relax on the front porch, sit around a camp fire and look at the stars, enjoy communing with nature.

Visit the barn with the owner and meet our horses, 3 goats named Luke and Francis and our newest arrival Baby Panic, and a precocious mini-donkey named Penny.

Old Oaks Ranch is 15 miles from Brenham, home to Blue Bell Ice Cream and lots of great antique shops; 12 miles from Washington-On-The-Brazos, the birthplace of Texas; and 4 miles from historic Independence and the Antique Rose Emporium.

We are 40 minutes from Kyle Field (Gig 'Em) and 45 minutes from Round Top,

My grandparents bought Old Oaks in 1956. We think it was one of the original Stephen F. Austin land grants. The original owners died out and the place was fallow for 10 years. I was 10 years old when we bought the place - I grew up here, my children grew up here, and now my grandchildren are enjoying it.

What makes this property unique

Old Oaks Ranch is an oasis in a busy world. When you are here you can relax and really enjoy nature. This is a great place to recharge.
