We have recently stayed at this property in Chester. Starting with the positives, it is very centrally located and the parking is closer than I’d hoped. Communication with the host was quick and seamless. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure good.Unfortunately, on arrival we found access to the property is down an insalubrious alley with reeking bins, bird droppings and unexplainable patches of water. On opening the outer door to the apartment we were faced with a stairway which is more akin to a ladder. I realise the listing warned that the building was old and that it “may not be suitable for those with mobility problems” but this was extreme. Fortunately, there were banisters to use to pull ourselves up and around the corner. The carpets are old and stained. The kitchen is small and its linoleum lifting. It is adequately provisioned with essentials of cutlery, plates, glasses and so on. I would not try to cook a full meal there. I would not recommend staying here.
