There is also a twin room with a separate family bathroom with a bath/shower. Gated parking for 3 vehicles and an EV charger.
The Space:
This brand new, 3 bedroom property has been crafted with luxury and convenience throughout. From the moment you arrive, enjoy gated parking for multiple vehicles and an EV charger on site (see below for details). Enter the property with step free access round the front door - perfect for those with prams or mobility limitations, or via the utility room door - ideal for cleaning dogs and muddy boots! You'll find sink, shoe rack, washing machine and tumble dryer here too.
Once inside, you're greeted by a high spec, bespoke open-plan kitchen diner. Complete with the full range of integrated appliances, a wine fridge, coffee machine and well-equipped with cooking equipment, you're set up for dinner parties from the get go. Next door, find a cosy living room with smart TV. Double doors lead out to a patio with outdoor seating where you can dine al fresco in the warmer months. You'll also find a good-sized, fully enclosed garden.
Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms all with comfortable furnishings and luxurious touches. Both the king-size and double rooms have ensuite bathrooms. The property benefits from being at the highest elevation in the Forest of Dean, giving expansive views from the bedrooms. The third room has two singles and there is a separate family bathroom with bath/shower.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole house and garden.
The Neighborhood:
Ruardean Hill, the highest point in the Forest of Dean, offers stunning panoramic views and serves as a gateway to a wealth of outdoor adventures and local attractions. Nature lovers can explore nearby walking trails, including those leading into the Forest of Dean itself, where ancient woodlands, wildlife spotting, and peaceful picnic spots abound. The Gloucestershire Way trail also passes close by, perfect for hikers seeking breathtaking scenery.
A short drive away, Symonds Yat Rock offers spectacular views of the River Wye and is a hotspot for birdwatching, particularly peregrine falcons. It's also a popular spot for rock climbers. Canoeing or paddleboarding on the River Wye is a fantastic way to enjoy the area’s natural beauty. Several tour operators run a fantastic service where you can paddle down the river, enjoying pubs along the way, before being picked up and dropped back at your vehicle! For history enthusiasts, explore Goodrich Castle, a well-preserved medieval fortress with incredible views.
Families will love Puzzlewood, a magical woodland used as a film location, or the Dean Forest Railway for nostalgic steam train rides. Ruardean Hill provides the perfect base for exploring this beautiful and historic region.
Getting Around:
Due to the remote nature of the area, we would recommend bringing a car for your stay. There is private parking for at least three vehicles on the driveway, where you'll also find an EV charger. This is charged at the energy provider's electricity usage rate, which, for most vehicles, is £15-£20 per charge. We will share the usage report with you at the end of your stay.
Parking is also not restricted on the surrounding streets.
Other Things to Note:
Dogs are welcome (max 2) on the condition they are kept downstairs, off soft furnishings and not left in the property unattended. There is an additional fee of £20/dog.
The BBQ is available for use from April to October.
Interaction with Guests:
We will be available via message, email and phone during your stay. Any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
