The studio apartment is attached to Casa Turchese. Both were completely renovated in July 2017. The apartment is located 50 metres from the beach, which—except in August—is nearly deserted. It is truly a luxury to stay in Pedro Barba, as there are only 21 homes in total, most of which are uninhabited for the majority of the year and are closely guarded by their owners. Pedro Barba is considered the most exclusive place in the Canary Islands—an oasis of peace in the middle of the desert, a miniature paradise on earth. In Pedro Barba, the climate is mild year-round; it never gets too hot, and temperatures are ideal: a low of 20°C and a high of 28°C, with cool, breezy nights, much like the African desert. The house offers ideal climate conditions without any need for air conditioning or heating, as the average indoor temperature is 21°C in winter and 23–30°C in summer. The studio apartment features a comfortable bathroom and a kitchen with a high-quality gas stove. From the terrace, you can admire the sea, palm trees swaying in the breeze, the white and blue “Smurf houses” of Pedro Barba, the mountains, seagulls, and hawks. You may also spot, especially at dawn, the African fish eagle and the woodpecker. Pedro Barba is located in the quietest and most exclusive area of La Graciosa. You can’t rent cars on the island—only residents are allowed to drive—but a taxi service is available from the Caleta de Sebo marina for 20€ per trip for two people. You can also reach it via a beautiful seaside walk that takes about an hour and a quarter on foot or 40 minutes by bike. Bicycles are available for rent on the island. Additionally, you can arrange car tours with the taxi drivers at reasonable prices.
