Unit #209 at Kuleana is truly a vacationer's delight. This condo is larger than most of the one-bedroom and one-bathroom condos on the property, making it comfortable and spacious. The location of the condo is super convenient, with easy access to the beach, a heated pool, and BBQ on its open lanai. It also offers a beautiful ocean and pool view and is conveniently situated close to parking and on-site laundry facilities.

The condo is designed with high vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans, allowing for a refreshing sea breeze to flow through the space. It features a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary amenities to cook great meals, should you wish to. The living room has a comfortable sleeper sofa, perfect for lounging around during the day or as an extra sleeping option at night.

The bedroom is perfect for getting a good night's sleep, thanks to the king-size bed and A/C. Guests are also supplied with all the accessories needed to make their Maui vacation incredible, such as beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler. You can sit around the kitchen bar, or take in ocean breezes and sunsets on the lanai as you make unforgettable memories.

Kuleana is home to some of the island's most beautiful sites. Guests can enjoy colorful reef fish while snorkeling in the cove, a favorite nesting ground for Green Sea Turtles, or lounge by the pool with their favorite beverage or a book from the free lending library. Beautiful stay in Paradise

The beautiful view and charming condo are as described. There isn't really beach access as it is very rocky there, but oh, what a view! Made me happy just to look out the patio door! The condo itself was meticulously clean, which I appreciate! It isn't brand new, for sure, but that just added to the charm for me! Location wise, it is quiet and convenient. About a 10 minute drive to Lahaina and less to amazing beaches ! There are fun places to eat within walking distance. I was glad we had a car though.

This one bedroom was large so accommodated a third person this trip. King size bed in bedroom was really comfy as was the sofa bed. Great to have beach chairs, cooler and boogie board in condo. Lanai was a bit smaller than the other condos we have stayed in but a great view. Would have been nice to have a washer/dryer in condo. There were two non working safes in bedroom which should be removed is guest is not able to use. Kitchen is well equipped but knives do need sharpened. More beach towels might be nice as only two were in the condo. Toilet seat needs updating. Pam and Regina in the office are so helpful. It is great to have them onsite for any questions or concerns.

Lovely grounds!

This rental had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation for our family of 4. Appreciated the beach chairs/sun umbrella and cooler for our road trips through Maui and beach days (the umbrella was a little temperamental, missing a couple pins that hold the frame mechanism, but did the job!) The grounds and views are 10/10. Seeing the whales in the distance was a daily highlight. We enjoyed having coffee/breakfast/some lunch and dinners on the outside patio. Walking down to the shoreline for sunset was our favorite way to end the day. Kitchen was well equipped for what we needed. We enjoyed the heated pool very much. We also used the laundry facilities on property and were happy with them as well. For a family of 4 we were supplied 4 bath towel/washcloth sets and 4 beach towels, personally would have liked to have 2 per person for a 8 night stay but we made time for laundry. The unit is a bit dated and some staining along the ceiling (perhaps from water leaks). The walls could use a good cleaning, some patching and fresh paint. The unit we shared the wall with is in the process of being renovated and men were working during the daytime hours. We left most days and were not bothered with them. The a/c in the bedroom works great if you shut the door and are only cooling the bedroom. Its not a sufficient unit to cool the entire place. As long as its cool enough to sleep I’m fine and don’t necessarily need a/c so this worked for us. Would stay at this resort again, possibly picking a more updated unit.

We will be BACK!

After what I felt was extensive research to find the perfect spot in Maui to stay with our 2 teenage sons, I chose this condo at Kuleana and I must say it was everything we hoped it would be!! The condo itself would probably be classified more on the "outdated" side, but we thought this made it so charming! It really has that "Old Hawaiian" style & we thought it was wonderful. It is clean overall, again just older so some may think it doesn't look "Pristine". The kitchen is fully stocked with all dishes and utensils that you will need for any type of meal and we were really appreciative of the tupperware that was there so that we were able to save leftovers from meals we cooked. There is ample closet space, a closet size pantry (3 shelves and undershelf space), a closet size linen closet, and the primary bedroom has 2 large sliding door closets with plenty of space for an ample amount of clothes! The condo was also stocked with 2 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, 2 boogie boards, a small beach cooler bag, and a beach mat. We were not expecting that so that was a pleasant surprise and we made good use out of these items! We did notify the office before we arrived that there would be 4 of us and asked about the amount of beach towels. Upon our arrival she gave us 2 beach towels for a total of 4, for the week. We also had plenty of bath and hand towels as well as washcloths. The only thing I would say was "lacking" would maybe be a drying rack of some sort for towels. That was our only challenge was just making sure there was space to hang out wet beach towels before our next use and also all of out bath towels. Other than that there wasn't anything else we felt we were missing inside the condo. Any issues we had were quickly addressed (a small leak under the sink & wifi going out) with no issues after the fact. The grounds at this resort are truly impeccable and I felt just as it was pictured from the posting. It is quiet, which we liked as well, but not to the point where people are not having any fun, as some reviews have stated! We loved that the grounds are on the smaller side so it's easy to access everything from the beach to the pool to several of the lookout areas along the rocks & excellent bbq location. We truly feel it have everything each person in our family had desired for our stay in paradise! We all agreed when we return to Maui this is exactly where we want to stay & have already referred many of our friends!

Spacious condo in a great location

209 is a main floor unit set back from ocean front with a lovely view of the water over well manicured gardens. The unit is very spacious and well appointed. The AV was adequate once we got it figured out and added a cable to him up our music. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back here on another trip to Maui.

Beautiful tropical paradise right on the ocean full of turtles. There's no beach (I can speak only about fall-winter time), but when the tide is low you can walk to the small beach left from Kuleana. This unit (209) is a much bigger then other one bedroom units, which was very convenient for the family with two teenagers. However it's pretty outdated especially the kitchen (cabinets etc.). It worked for us though.

The microwave needed to be replaced, the smoke alarm was disfunctional and the dishwasher was in poor condition and quit entirely the last 2 days of our stay. We had small little sugar ants in the bathroom and kitchen during our stay. We kept them at bay with some non-toxic spray that we purchased but the areas need some serious spraying. That said, we have stayed in the unit previously and love the location and layout of the unit.

Two weeks of sun & fun!

From booking to check out we had great communication. This unit is a bit larger than the others we’ve stayed in. It has a great peekaboo view of the ocean where we watched whales every morning with coffee. You can walk right out to the pool easily. And we did often! We love the pool at Kuleana. Probably one of the best of all the places we’ve stayed in Maui. The unit was clean although there were a fair amount of sugar ants in the kitchen upon arrival but we wiped everything down again and were very careful about food storage (learned that the hard way when we lived in FL). We hardly saw any after that. The kitchen is very dated and worn out. I would highly recommend a new tea kettle. The one there is pitted and crusty and looks like it’s better days have long passed. The pots and pans are not the best but are plentiful and usable. We cook a lot when we travel so we travel with our own knife set, bbq tools, and espresso maker. So I can’t speak to any of those items. The fridge and dishwasher may need replacing soon. Around the seal of the fridge and freezer felt very hot most of the time. And the dishwasher racks are falling apart. But they both worked. The bed was comfy! That’s a big win! The bedroom though...peeling late 80s wallpaper border and decor. The whole unit could use a fresh coat of paint and a little color. We didn’t use the ac at all. The ceiling fans and open window cross breeze was perfect. Overall if you don’t care about having a gourmet kitchen or updated decor then you will love this place. It serves its purpose. It’s large and has basically everything you would need. Although I wish there were more cleaning products available for the renters. Two weeks is a long time to not clean all the glass surfaces in the unit. At the least a bottle of winde

Nice condo

My husband, my daughter who is two and a half and me enjoyed staying in this condo unit. The bedroom layout worked perfectly for the full size crib we rented and it had plenty of closet space. I also really liked that we didn't have to deal with a key and just had a code for the front door access. One less thing to worry about losing when we ventured out. The only downside was that I'm used to condos having some of the basics for cooking in the kitchen, like salt/pepper and cooking spray. Nothing major since we bought some at Times to have for our stay. Overall, it is a great unit with a good amount of space for a one bedroom. We hope to stay again in the future!

Oceanfront living

The condo was fantastic! It had plenty of space, a very well equipped kitchen, and beach chairs and boogie boards! Located on the property is a small beach with lots of turtles swimming. The pool is very nice, but but some of the older residents that live there full time are pretty rude, so be warned.
