About this property
Cuckoo Springs Cottage, Aberporth
Cuckoo Springs Cottage is a cosy renovated cottage set in a wooded valley on a smallholding, ideally located just a short drive from the stunning Cardigan Bay coastline in Ceredigion. With easy access to safe, sandy, dog-friendly beaches and charming seaside villages like Aberporth, Tresaith, Llangrannog, New Quay, and Mwnt, it’s a great base for families, couples, and outdoor lovers.
The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable “home from home” experience. It’s a great place to switch off, slow down, and enjoy quality time together. At night, the low light pollution means you can expect a peaceful sleep and it’s an ideal spot for stargazing.
A network of walking paths starts from the village, and scenic cycling routes wind through nearby lanes filled with wildflowers. Bring your bike if you’d like to explore the area on two wheels.
The nearby market town of Cardigan offers a mix of independent shops, historic Cardigan Castle, and the wide sandy stretch of Poppit Sands at the mouth of the River Teifi. Whether you’re looking to relax or explore, there’s plenty to do close by.
Cuckoo Springs Cottage is close to the Pembrokeshire border, giving you access to the best of both counties. Enjoy days out to Cardigan Island, try paddleboarding or kayaking at Aberporth, go pony trekking in the Preseli Hills, or stop in at one of the many dog-friendly pubs, restaurants, or beachside cafés nearby.
A warm welcome awaits you in this quiet corner of West Wales.
