About this property
Cosy 3 Bed Stone Cottage, Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Nestled in the quiet picturesque village of Darley on the outskirts of Harrogate as you enter the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales in our 3bedroom, stone built, holiday cottage, perfect for weekend getaways or longer stays.
The external gives the countryside feel with its stone build and views of the countryside but inside is slightly more modern with a fully functioning fitted kitchen inc oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble-drier, hoover and ironing set. The lounge has space to entertain with an electric fireplace and flatscreen smart tv. Broadband runs throughout the house.
Upstairs has 3 bedrooms (2 double and one single) with a family bathroom with integrated bath and shower. The bedrooms have wardrobe space and dressing tables with the master fitted with another flat screen tv. For toddlers a baby cot is available on request.
Darley is a beautiful village just outside the historical spa town of Harrogate. Within walking distance of the cottage is the village pub, The Wellington Inn, with its famous tap room where the local farmers gather at sundown! there are churches close by, farm shops, post office, and public transport connections into Harrogate, Leeds and York. Most tourist attractions are within a 30min drive but there is still plenty to keep you occupied in the local area.
North Yorkshire is steeped in history, all within a short drive you will find: the truly beautiful town of Knaresborough with its ruined castle and activities along the River Nidd inc Mother Shipton's Cave. The remains of the medieval Fountains Abbey are at Studley Royal Park. Ripley Castle and Bolton Abbey are not to be missed. The National Trust - Brimham Rocks is another great half day adventure. For some retail therapy the spa town of Harrogate is very close with an abundance of shops, eateries and bars and is also home to the world-famous Betty's Tea Room and The Ivy.
For the more adventurous and sportier there are breathtaking countryside runs, walks, hikes and cycles (in 2104 the local area hosted the first leg of the Tour de France) the route is there to challenge you. Fewston Reservoir is great for a leisurely walk or 5km run. There are several other reservoirs to explore, dive and fish.
For the young at heart there are several theme parks nearby, Lightwater Valley and Flamingo Land.
Spend one week in this part of the world will leave you amazed by the calmness of the areas, its beauty, friendly people, amazing attractions, fantastic pubs and eateries to recharge and relax and a comfy home from home to return to.

Cloggers Cottage is a home from home for us, we move between Yorkshire (about a mile from Cloggers) London, Mifdke East and SE.Asia. We know thr area very well so can always recommend economic to extravagant eateries, tourist attractions, family days out and exercise based activities.
Why they chose this property
We own a family farm very close to Cloggers Cottage so even though you are left in peace for your stay, we are always on hand for emergencies. North Yorkshire is a beautiful part of the country, Dacre is a typical Yorkshire dales peaceful village, Harrogate is 10miles away for shopping and dining out, country clubs are everywhere, plenety to see and do whatever the weather. Who wouldn't want to live here ??
What makes this property unique
It's a typical country stone built cottage on the outside but a refurb has made the inside modern and up to date. Modern amenities from flst screen tvs to high speed wifi, modern bathroom and kitchen. Its warm in the winter, has onsite parking and walking distance to the village shop and local pub.
