Following the initial booking I thought this was to be an airB&B. Arriving on a Sunday suggested a possible problem getting keys. The check in was easy at hotel reception. The room was well equipped and a comfortable bed. The reception staff were very helpful through out. A bonus was the leisure centre and pool. We only used the bar and dining on one occasion as we were visiting relatives and ate out for other meals. The bar food was good and staff friendly an helpful. Will stay again on our next visit.

Overall the hotel is lovely but the beds are way to soft and extremely uncomfortable, we had issues with the tv the signal kept cutting out. Won't be staying here again!!
The room was clean could do with some touch ups here and there. Bed comfortable. Shower really good. Receptionist polite and efficient. Location good and a short walk to invergowrie.

This is the first time I have used the Landmark Hotel at Invergowrie near Dundee. I,m a retired veteran and have had a terrible time relaxing and having a comfortable nights sleep. I called my wife after my first nights sleep at the Landmark Hotel. I haven't slept so well in years! I really mean that. Not only was my room immaculate, warm and quiet, but I have to commend the staff. From the chap that met me on arrival at reception , to everyone in the building who made my visit welcoming. I seriously will be making my trips to Dundee staying at the Landmark Hotel in future. First class!

My husband and I booked a last minuye 2 night stay at The Landmark Hotel and were very happy with everything. It is a bit tired looking in places but the price reflects this, the room was a good size, vert comfy bed, great bath with shower, hairdyer, iron and board, plenty good quality tea, coffee biscuits in room, so we were happy. Good bar and very decent priced, food stops early but there are places near hotel to pop out to. Pool and Spa area is fine, not brilliant but again the price reflects this, if you want a wee sauna and a swim, its perfect! The staff are super nice and friendly, very helpful, i would definately return here for a wee relaxing weekend or overnight.

Poor tired decor. Dirty in some area. Poor management / leadership. Food and beverage offering poor. Positive feedback cheap. But on reflection poor value for money. 4 star rating is not justified. A full refurbishment is required.

We got an amazing deal for 2 nights, but then again you get what you pay for. Room size good and tidy, furniture worn with marks and scratches, TV worked 1st night, played up second. Pillow case has stain making me wonder if they had been changed or just remade. Bathroom was covered in black mould, we learned this was due to NO ventilation. The small fan only activated when shower was on but didn't work well. There was a sign saying steam can set of the fire alarm so please keep bathroom door closed. So after a quick shower the room is steamy all day. A recipe for black mould. Shower pressure was great but shower was covered in limescale or something else. Tried breakfast on day 2, buffet breakfast, there was a fry up selection, no potato scones. It was passable. The fruit juice didn't taste right, all the glasses were dirty and when I went to make toast some of the white bread was mouldy. We complained and the staff was lovely was promised a refund-never happened. The gym was good/clean and well ventilated we both enjoyed that. Was too scared to try the steam room/sauna or pool due to the poor cleanliness standards we had witnessed elsewhere. Staff are friendly, room was big and had everything we needed. Cleanliness not up to standard! With money and effort this would be an amazing place. It's such a shame.

Check in was fast and staff were very pleasant. Was given an upgrade to an executive room which was very nice. Bed was comfortable and room had everything I needed and more. Will most certainly book here again.
I feel the hotel has been unfairly rated by some guests previously possibly with a change over of companies regards food and catering. I stayed in the hotel and couldn't fault the room swimming pool or Spa had a great time.
Poor hotel. Cheap but still poor value for money. Not a 4 star establishment poor food and wine . Tired decor needs money to be spent on refurbishment

I got an amazing deal on a 2 night stay. But like they say-you get what you pay for.Reception was friendly, we immediately found our the hotel carpark is private and it cost me an extra 12 to pay for parking during our stay. Our room was a good size and tidy, the furniture is a bit worn with chips and scratches here and there. Our king bed was humongous. Which was great. However one of the pillow cases had a stain.making me curious if the bed had been changed before our visit. The bathroom- i walked in and my heart sank, black mould all over the ceiling, some tiles and around the bathroom-during my stay i realised this is due to NO ventilation. The small fan only activates when the shower is on. It doesn't work well. There is a sign telling you the steam can set off the fire alarm so please keep door closed. So after a short shower the bathroom is filled with steam ALL day! Of course that's a recipe for mould. Shower pressure is great. Shower head has limescale and mould.I was excited to try a buffet breakfast (I love a buffet) I paid 27 for two. I realised quickly this service wasn't in demand as there was a maximum of 5 people including us. Every glass was dirty, the juice didn't taste right, there was mould on bread. I complained and was told I would get a refund-never happened. The glass i got in the bar was dirty too. Cleanliness not up to scratch at all.All staff were friendly. Spa and gym were good. I wouldn't come back

Think some of the past negativity is due to food service when the hotel was reopening under a new company/management. So far our stay has been great nice polite staff, lovely rooms, a good health spa, yes there's a couple of tiny tiles missing in the pool, the sauna and steam room are great. So far can't fault them I'd gove them 5/5.
