Quietly nestled on a leafy hillside overlooking the rooftops to Lake Maggiore, this charming light-filled retreat accommodates up to 4 guests.
Offering a serene escape just a 7-minute drive from Stresa\'s lakeside promenade, the property enjoys a gorgeous open-plan living space with several large picture windows and views of the lake and mountains. This space is furnished with a dining table, a double sofa bed and a Smart flatscreen TV. The separate kitchen is equipped with a Mokka coffee machine, a cooker hob, an oven and a fridge freezer.
Outside, guests can relax and enjoy the views in the pretty shared garden.

The town was a popular destination with European nobility in the 19th century, and it enjoys many Belle Époque-style buildings and villas. Its main attractions are the picturesque Borromean Islands, which are known for their opulent palaces and well-manicured gardens. The islands can be reached via one of the ferries in the port (a 9-minute drive away). There are several restaurants and a supermarket within a 5-minute drive.
The lush gardens of Villa Pallavicino and Stresa’s main beach are both approximately a 6-minute drive away. For golfers, Golf Club Alpino di Stresa and Golf Des Iles Borromees are both an 8-minute drive. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the nearby Mottarone Mountain (a 29-minute drive) with panoramic views across the Lake. This is the perfect destination for hiking in the warmer months and skiing during winter. Visitors can also take a cable car ride to the summit.

Lorenza Rooftop Lake View Stresa
Wir haben fünf Tage in der Wohnung in Stresa verbracht. Die Lage ist grundsätzlich gut, jedoch befindet sich die Wohnung direkt an einer stark befahrenen Straße, was vor allem nachts zu einem deutlichen Geräuschpegel führt. Die Nachbarn im Haus waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit – das haben wir als sehr positiv empfunden.
Die Wohnung selbst ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung und bietet genug Platz für einen Aufenthalt. Leider gab es jedoch einige Punkte, die unseren Eindruck etwas getrübt haben. Beim Betreten der Wohnung war ein deutlicher Rauch- bzw. Zigarettengeruch wahrnehmbar.
In der Beschreibung wurde die Küche als „sehr gut ausgestattet“ angegeben, was aus unserer Sicht nicht ganz zutrifft. Es fehlten grundlegende Dinge wie Öl, Gewürze oder Spülmittel. Zudem waren Besteck und Teller teilweise verschmutzt oder sogar rostig. Auch im Bad war keine Handseife vorhanden, was wir bei einer Ferienwohnung dieser Preisklasse erwartet hätten.
Ein weiterer negativer Punkt war der Geruch aus dem Abfluss im Bad nach dem Duschen.
Die Wohnung liegt auf einem Berg, wir empfehlen also mit dem Auto in die Stadt zu fahren.
Insgesamt hatten wir trotz der genannten Mängel eine schöne Zeit in Stresa, sehen aber bei der Ausstattung und Sauberkeit der Wohnung deutliches Verbesserungspotenzial.
