We had a fantastic stay at Combe View. Everything was very clean and well-stocked. All of the rooms were beautifully decorated and the views were incredible - especially from the hot tub. Erica was a great host, very responsive and helpful.
Lovely property, tricky parking for a large car. Fabulous views from the balcony. Property on a hill which wasn’t an issue for us. Really comfortable beds and all the amenities you require. We had an amazing time and really appreciated the lovely welcome pack. We would definitely stay here again.
Splendid views! Spacious house at the top of Castle Hill Road. We really enjoyed hanging out in the family room at the back of the house with beautiful sea views, having breakfast on the balcony, and soaking in the hot tub after a day of hiking the nearby trails. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well appointed with plenty of pots and pans, dishes, glasses, cutlery, etc. Only thing I would have liked is a coffee machine or drip filters (there is a cafetière). The warning about the car port is well taken—it takes a few minutes of careful backing to fit in but no problem really. I would definitely recommend this place!
We have finished a five night stay at Combe View in Ilfracombe and couldn’t be happier with the accommodations. Our party of four used the lower level and second floor (US system) bedrooms with en-suites. Everything was clean, tidy, not overly cluttered, and the kitchen appliances were all new. The bathrooms have new fixtures. This house is well positioned and a 10 minute walk from the harbor, but Ilfracombe is quite hilly and this probably isn’t the right property for a person with movement disabilities. You can drive everywhere you need to go and there are paid parking lots around town. We parked our larger car (we are traveling with golf clubs!) on the street in free parking. This is a very friendly town and a great property. We had one minor problem and a phone call had our “host” come within an hour to repair. The photos from the host do not do it justice. We have stayed at many VRBOs and I would say this property is in the top 5! PS. It has a great panoramic view of the sea!
Photos do not do it justice. It is a fantastic house to stay in. Very clean, very comfortable and spacious. Only thing we hadn’t taken in to account was that there was not direct access to the garden from the living area. This isn’t a huge issue, just something we noticed with the dog. But a beautiful house to stay in and would absolutely stay again.
