About this property

Secluded & Serene - 1845 Regency Manor Home

Toad Hall is a labour of love. We want you to love it as much as we do. So our flat rate pricing includes all cleaning fees as well as the new local accommodation tax. That means no surprises! HST and VRBO fees not included.

Toad Hall provides accommodation only, which means no parties, events, weddings, or receptions. We are committed to making your visit safe, pleasant, relaxing and memorable.

Our handsome 3000 sq. ft. 1845 Regency country home is available for short-term holiday rental. It is set peacefully on five acres of wooded grounds, surrounded by orchards, and affords a quiet and gracious respite.

The house sleeps eight adults comfortably (kids too, of course), with three large bedrooms—two with queen-size beds and the third with a king-size bed (or two full length twins if you prefer)—plus two full baths. A queen-size sofa-bed is also available on the main floor with an adjacent powder room. The rooms are large and bright, with cozy corners and quiet spaces. The bathrooms are airy, modern and well-appointed.

Morning coffee on the front porch? Lunch and birdwatching out back?

The screened-in back porch is a great place to relax and survey the rambling back lawn and surrounding orchards. It's also perfect for a candle-lit dinner while sipping local wine.

WiFi is provided, of course, but off-grid activities are what we're really all about.

We are located on the popular Waterfront Trail bicycle route, part of the Niagara Wine Route and the Greater Niagara Circle Route. Toad Hall is only a short bike ride into Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake—with its restaurants and Shaw Festival theatres—and a short walk to the lake, local wineries, farms, and fruit stands.

Come, gather your family and friends, relax and enjoy!

We first saw the property back in 2015 while spending Christmas with family. Four months later it was ours. After 20 years working in marketing and graphic design I finally said, "Enough!" It took us two years to reclaim this historic pre-confederation estate from decades of neglect but it has been worth every effort.

Toad Hall is a labour of love and we're sure that you'll love it as much as we do!
