About this property

Private Suite in transitional O4W.

One bedroom apartment with lots of natural light, 10 foot ceilings, private entrance, sunroom, living room, small kitchen, large bathroom, walk-in closet and very small capacity stackable washer/ dryer. Sunroom overlooks front garden with downtown skyline views. Kitchen is open to living room which has french doors to sunroom. Bedroom is large with queen size bed and laundry in walk-in-closet. There is gated parking available and plenty of street parking. This apartment is on the first floor of a 100 year old house in the most diverse neighborhood in Atlanta - Historic Old Fourth Ward. Some people may be intimidated by this diverse and transitional neighborhood. You will see people of all races so if that makes you uncomfortable you may want to stay elsewhere.
There's plenty of free street parking if you park 20 ft from crosswalks and 15 ft from fire hydrants. We have one spot available in our gated driveway behind the house that there is a remote on the coffee table.

We came to Atlanta for a wedding for 3 nights. My communication with Patrick was fantastic. The Queen bed is very comfortable and it was nice to have a sitting area and galley kitchen. The bed linens were very comfortable (I’m picky) and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen had coffee pods for our use and there was a Brita water jug in the refrigerator. It was great to have reserved parking behind the house. It was easy to get to many attractions in Atlanta.

Weekend trip

Perfect spot for a short weekend trip to ATL. Came into town for a show at Mercedes Benz stadium and this location was convenient to everything we wanted to do! We loved sitting in the front area and the space felt like a perfect size for two.

Gardenesque Oasis in O4W

Booked this listing for a work trip, and decided to extend my stay to enjoy the city. The owners are great hosts, providing updates on any outside work to make sure you weren't startled. Also give great local eat and see recommendations, really creating a home away from home with this listening. There was secure parking for vehicle owners, and the quiet was great after conference days.

Lovely long weekend in this century old home away from home

We spent the long Memorial Day weekend in this really quaint VRBO carved out of a corner of the hosts beautiful century old home in Atlanta’s O4W. The hosts thought of everything. We were super comfortable and felt right at home. There are several restaurants within walking distance (Amano’s Italian and Umai Sushi) that we enjoyed each evening of our stay. Patrick and Galal are very gracious hosts and we’ll definitely be back next Memorial Day weekend!

Exactly what we wanted

Was in town for a conference and needed a place near the Georgia Congress and rooming enough to hang out that wasn’t a stale hotel room. Also needed to be clean, secure, and affordable. All were met. Plus, place had solid furniture with nice interior which made it a fun stay for us.

My husband and I have been together for 24 years and in this neighborhood for 20 years. We renovated this 100 year old house into a duplex with in-law suite. We are self-employed and work together on residential renovations. We enjoy gardening, cooking, camping, hiking, biking and community building.

Why they chose this property

This house was perfectly located in the most diverse and historic neighborhood. Being in a transitional area made it one of the most affordable properties in Atlanta. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit in the past few years but we still love it.

What makes this property unique

Built in the early 1900's it features 10 ft. ceilings, lots of windows provide a lot of natural light, Hardwood floors and large spacious rooms.
