Mark, thank you for the review. We sincerely apologize for the hold up on the cleaning crew. Although Saturday's are extremely busy, it is rare for the cleaning crew to not have the home cleaned by check-in time. Again, we are so sorry about this and we hope that you come back this summer. We have repainted the kitchen table so it's not that sticky paint anymore. And we got all new pots/pans & cooking utensils.

As is evidenced universally in dozens of positive reviews by our valued guests, as homeowners we strive to provide the best accommodations in an amazing property with friendly and supportive service. It is unfortunate that this renter has chosen to leave a one star review solely in response for a portion of the security deposit being withheld due to excessive filth and damage that they caused to our home. During their stay, this renter; -Caused 2 hours of wall repair including spackle and paint caused by hanging posters in bedrooms with scotch tape -Caused 1.5 hours of additional cleaning to scrub the ground floor of graffiti that is still not completely removed -Broke a $250 Trex bar stool -Broke 3 beach and patio umbrellas -Broke the skimmer to the pool Communication is always a key in any visitor experience as we try to exceed our guest expectations. Following their stay, the renter was notified a small portion of the security deposit would be withheld due to breaking the rental agreement (excessive filth, damage to the property) in order to compensate our cleaning crew for their time in order to insure a clean home for our next guests. This communication included details down to the specific bedrooms that were damaged. Responding to the specific points brought forth by the renter; 1. The house was ready by 4PM, it was not ready early when the renters arrived prior to check in. Our cleaning crew spends the entire day preparing the house for our next guests to insure everything is spotless upon arrival. 2. The renter did let us know one of the two dishwashers was not working. His communication to us was “letting you know that one of the dishwashers is not working. Does seem to be getting any water. Not a big issue but wanted to let you know.” After responding within 17 minutes with an offer to replace it, the renter responded “No big deal, we can manage with one” 3. The renters did pull one of the door knobs off, indicative of overall treatment of the home. His communication to us was “the door handle came off the third floor bathroom. Looks like an easy fix, but I don’t have an allen wrench. Place has been great so far” 4. We were never notified of the wasp nests. If we were, we would have been able to spray it same day, or notify the renter that we keep wasp spray at the house for this very thing. Since the back of the house is adjacent to a nature preserve, this sometimes happens and can easily be addressed. 5. The filters on the fridge are replaced every 3 months. 6. From the way one of the three umbrellas was ruined, it was obvious the renters neglected to close the umbrella on the pool deck and the winds from the storm ruined one of them. We look forward to sharing our home with our numerous repeat and soon to be repeat guests.

Hi Stephen, we very much appreciate your feedback. We feel that Purple Rain has gotten the love that it has needed since then. The showers have been mold treated and we got new kitchen items. Including brand new pots and pans, a whole tupperware set, baking sheets, pans, etc.. We hope you come back this summer to see what we've done with the place!
