About this property

Villa Italia is nestled among the forests of the Casentino. Here, every detail tells the story of a

In the tiny and charming village of Pontenano, set in an exceptionally panoramic location just a few kilometers from Talla, stands Villa Italia — a house that carries with it a story of family and affection. It takes its name from the owner’s mother, who lived here when life still flowed at a slow and genuine pace. Today, the house has been brought back to life, while preserving the simple and authentic soul of the past. It’s the perfect accommodation for groups of up to eight people, featuring three comfortable bedrooms each with its own bathroom, and a rustic Tuscan décor with warm, carefully curated spaces.

Immersed in the quiet of the Casentino valley, Villa Italia is the ideal starting point to discover a different side of Tuscany — one made of nature, spirituality, and tradition. Just a few steps away, trails wind through chestnut and beech forests, perfect for hiking or cycling enthusiasts. The surrounding area offers many fascinating destinations, such as Camaldoli, La Verna, medieval villages, and ancient Romanesque parish churches that tell centuries of history.

Outside, Villa Italia offers a private and well-equipped space, perfect for enjoying meals in the open air. The garden, for the exclusive use of guests, is furnished with a table, chairs, and a barbecue — ideal for summer dinners under the stars or breakfasts with a view over the green valley. It’s a peaceful corner where time seems to slow down.
The villa is also perfect for holidays with your four-legged friends, who will love exploring the fenced garden in complete freedom.

About 7 km from Pontenano is Talla, the birthplace of Guido Monaco and a welcoming village where you can enjoy traditional Tuscan cuisine in renowned, authentic restaurants. Talla also has a bar and a small grocery shop for your daily needs. For a wider choice of shops and supermarkets, simply head to Rassina, located about 13 km away.
Whether you want to explore or simply relax listening to the sounds of nature, Villa Italia will welcome you with warmth and simplicity, offering you an authentic experience in the heart of the Casentino.
