Clean and well equipped. Lots of room for the four of us. Owners friendly and helpful

We had a very nice stay in Glaire. We chose the area because we wanted to tour round the area. The property is very close to the canal with a walk/cycle way which takes you right into Sedan which takes about 30 minutes to walk.The property is spacious and well equipped. We also had very good weather during our stay.

Great Base of Operations

More than enough room for the two of us. Nicely furnished, and well-equipped. And really enjoyed the garden on those sunny days in the late afternoon/early evening. Loved the baguette automat down the street and the mobile butcher on Thursdays. Managed to see quite a bit of the Ardennes, and even some of Champagne in our short two-week stay.

Lovely, clean and welcoming!

We stayed here with friends for 2 weeks in September for a cycling holiday and had a great time. Christine was really helpful in advance of the stay, and she and her husband were there to welcome us, even though we arrived quite late. The house was just as advertised. It was spacious and very clean, and we enjoyed using the ping pong table wen we had the odd spell of rain. We had a great holiday here and would definitely recommend it!

Lovely house

The house was clean and spacious with most of the tools and services needed for a family (just lacked egg cups for our boiled eggs! Not a problem). Easy access to Sedan and an east drive to Bouillon which we enjoyed very much

Fabulous property

My wife & I stayed here for a week whilst visiting the Champagne region & must say this property is lovely, located in a residential area but quiet and well located to allow us to visit this beautiful area. 40 min walk to Sedan. We went to Givet, Montherme, Rocroi, Fort de Sedan, Charleville-Mezieres. Great house, well equipped & the hosts Christine & Bernard are very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this to anyone wishing to visit the area.

Very good

Nicely positioned property close to the river meuse, ideal for walks and cycling. The property itself has been renovated to a high standard and is home from home. The 3 cycles were used regularly and the table tennis was a big plus for the children. As was the free wifi. Christine and Bernard were very welcoming and always on hand if needed. If you are looking for a peaceful location with beautiful scenery, I strongly recommend and we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Lovely, modern house in quiet area

We booked this 2 days before we travelled for a 3 night stay and found it to be one of the best properties we've rented. It was very clean and modern with more than enough cutlery and crockery, which isn't always the case. The beds were very comfortable and with 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets it was great. The owners are very friendly and live close by. There's quite a bit to do in this area but we went late October so a few things were scaled down. The property has 3 bikes which we made use of and the cycle path is at the end of the road. Definitely recommended and we hope to come back!

Modern, Comfortable, and Convenient

A very nice light, airy, comfortable and well equipped holiday home conveniently located for walking or cycling into Sedan or to the nearest supermarket (Intermarche). We found the croissants and bread at the bakery there to be excellent and the bakery opened ahead of the store at 7am! It was lovely to have such a well equipped house with very good quality bedding, crockery, cutlery etc and we made good use of the well maintained bicycles and the table tennis. The garden maybe lacked privacy although it was a very pleasant place to sit and despite there being houses all round, and the school opposite, it was quiet at all times. The garage is very narrow but we never had any problem parking outside the house, or if that space was taken we were able to park very close by. If we returned to this house we would probably take a radio for use in the kitchen. For a holiday home of this very high quality we were a little surprised to find there were no International TV channels available, only ordinary mainstream French. Christine and Bernard were there to welcome us and show us round the house and it was good to know they were always only a phone call or email away if there were any problems. (there weren`t!) It was also very useful having a supermarket within a 3 minute drive so that we were able to go out to get necessary basics such as milk, bread, butter, bottle of wine etc., none of which were there to start us off. I also bought two hand towels as I had misunderstood when reading that large bath towels were provided; they were, but I wrongly assumed there would also be hand towels. We found eating out in Sedan to be very good and especially enjoyed meals at Hotel Restaurant Le Saint-Michel,La Ronde des Sens, and L` Echiquier. Jacqueline`s Friterie was also excellent and worth the cycle ride into town! We also enjoyed several good coffees at the Central Bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here; it was comfortable, had an excellent hot water supply and everything was in excellent condition. We even had two weeks of good weather!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt zu fünft in dem Haus. Es ist sehr geräumig, super ausgestattet und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Besonders toll fanden wir den Grill, die Fahrräder und die Tischtennisplatte. Wir haben es rundum genossen! Danke dafür!

Mooi huis in een rustige omgeving

We hebben er genoten van het huis, de rust in de buurt en van de mooie stadjes en natuur in de omgeving. In de advertentie staat dat er handoeken aanwezig zijn, dat klopt ook wel echter maar 1 per persoon, wel een beetje weinig. Er is wel een wasmachine dus elke dag handoeken wassen.

Séjour en famille dans les Ardennes

Grande maison très agréable, à 2 pas de la voie verte en bord de Meuse. Très propre, au calme, grande cuisine toute équipée. Salle de jeux avec table de ping-pong très appréciée par les enfants.

prachtig huis met vriendelijke eigenaren!

het verblijf was heel goed uitgerust, we hebben 2x kunnen de bbq kunnen gebruiken. de kamers waren net en ordelijk, alles was naar wens!
