The Star 1744 had everything we needed, in a pretty village, and the staff couldn't be more helpful.

Clean room; lots of light; large bathroom; and the evening meal was very good pub food.

Such a lovely inn with beautiful rooms.

Everything about this inn suited us. It had great decor and very lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds and lots of space. The staff were super helpful and the bar and restaurant area were cosy and tastefully decorated. I can’t rate it highly enough.

Profound disappointment.

The changes of ownership/division of responsibility (accommodation/bar-restaurant) has had a detrimental impact on the level of services offered overall by The Star. as a whole. It's doubtful if I will make a return visit after many years having patronized and enjoyed the proximity, convenience and service of The Star and its location. It's sad to witness this decline.
