About this property
In the heart of the city
In the heart of the city, This Historical building is protected by the Antiquities Act of the Bahamas and was built in the early 1950’s by a Danish Architect/Painter Frederic “King” Soldwedel who actually lived in this very apartment. It is a stones throw from our major hospital PMH and ten minutes walking distance from Doctors Hospital. Walk to Bay Street to Prince George dock to take the ferry to Paradise Island. Via the Moses Shopping center to the Yoga Retreat. One parking space, Communal Pool.
Located on the fourth floor with a view of the cruise ship harbour and Atlantis. Spacious bedrooms, living/dining rooms, Kitchen with side by side refridgerator, dishwasher, double ovens laundry room stackable washer/ dryer. Fully furnished . Cable/internet services. If you wish we can supply you with some basic essentials (Fresh bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee and any other items you may require) (Please NOTE, that this is not included in the price
During the Holiday season it could be a bit noisy on the 26 .12. To the 1.1. Of each year. Our cultural parade takes place on Bay Street and the line up takes place one street over from Victoria. This sound of the goat skin drums cow bells so if you may have an issue with noise on or during the Christmas holidays then you might want to opt out on this one. But other than the above two days, know that it is relatively quiet despite the fact that there are two major hospitals near by. It is like shutting out the rest of the world once you are inside.
If you are an athletic person you can jog over to Paradise island in half an hour or walk over and spend the day with your family. Take the ferry back to Nassau and walk back to the apt. It would be best to take a taxi in the evening. This could be arranged . You are about four miles to the infamous Fish Fry, and the Petting Zoo (Adastra Gardens), A tour can also be arranged with a fantastic local Tour guide. (I can arrange that for you if need be.) We would do what we can for you to have a great Bahamian experience. Coming here for medical purposes then we are a stone throw away from two of the major hospitals ideal if you need to recuperate before going back home.
For the future: The American Embassy is in the process of building their new home two blocks away from the apartment so persons who has to travel to the Bahamas for visas would be able to stay a few days at the apt. In comfort and relaxation while waiting to get your visa.

Adela was awesome. She was very kind and helpful. We particularly enjoyed when she shared the history of the building as well as the pictures.

Lovely condo close to downtown
We loved our stay at Adela’s condo. There were balconies out of every door and the place was clean and comfortable. The beds were so comfy and there were lots of towels for the bath and beach. We could walk to everything and Adela checked in with us throughout the trip to make sure we had everything we needed.
Downtown shuts down about 6pm when the cruise ships leave so you can either walk 30 minutes to fish fry or taxi to another part of town. Either is easy. The locals are very friendly and there is a small bar behind the condo by the police station that is awesome!!!!
Very happy to stay here and would stay again.
