Diamond Spur Lodge-Luxury Vacation Home 8 miles from Mt. Rushmore

The Diamond Spur Lodge is a brand new spectacular vacation home with 4 bedrooms/ 2 baths on the main level and three more queen sized beds and another full bath in the extended loft. It is located on the property of the Double Diamond Ranch, LLC where we raise quarter horses and our horses love the attention from our guests. The lodge is designed to be handicap accessible with one ADA handicap friendly bathroom. The fully furnished home is complete with a gourmet kitchen, satellite tv, wifi, fireplace, central air conditioning, washer/dryer, and beautiful views of the Black Hills and the two Creeks on the property. Outside there is a private hot tub, gas grill and oversized propane fire pit along with a volleyball net, corn hole, and other games. The Double Diamond Ranch horses come up to the fence that borders the Diamond Spur Lodge so its easy to get your "horse fix" while staying at the Lodge. There is also lots of space for hiking and taking walks on the property or trying your luck at fishing in Spring Creek. We are also just 1 mile from Sheridan Lake which has a great swimming beach. This lodge is a Blue Ribbon Property. It is located in the center of the Black Hills or as the locals call it, the "Heart of the Hills". Great Location to take in all the attractions during the day and be back to relax in the evening. We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful setting in the black hills. Lee Ann was responsive and helpful. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking for a place for a large family gathering.

This property was absolutely beautiful! Loved the setting and horses and wildlife! Also had the best stocked kitchen of any vacation rental we have ever stayed at! Loved every part of celebrating Christmas here with our children and grandchildren! Book this property, you will not be disappointed.

Perfect South Dakota Getaway

Our stay at the Diamond Spur Lodge was amazing to say the least. We came with a total of 11 people full of teen/adult kids as well as 2 seniors. The layout is great for multiple families. The location is convenient if you want to hit all the main attractions with the majority of them being 30 mins or less away. Beautiful house, great hostess and sweet horses right in your backyard. Leann was a gem. Highly recommend!

We rented the new Diamond Spur Lodge for an anniversary trip and family vacation with our kids and grandkids. The house was beautifully and completely furnished and met all of our needs. The management was always available and quick to respond to anything we needed. The location is perfect for families with kids as it was just a short distance to everywhere we wanted to go. The fire pit, hot tub, and horses at the fence were a definite plus. We would definitely book this property in the future as everyone wants to come back to the Black Hills!

Family Reunion

10 of our Extended Family stayed at Diamond Spur Lodge. It was very comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. We loved visiting the horses and fishing in the creek. It was a great central location for everything we wanted to do. You should be aware that the WiFi connection is weak and not reliable. This was good for the children to "unplug" and enjoy outdoors, but frustrating for adults looking for tourist or other information. Overall, we give it 5 stars and would recommend it to all.

Diamond Spur Lodge

What a fantastic family vacation we had here at Diamond Spur Lodge! The home is absolutely beautiful and immaculate and was well-supplied with everything we needed. It was a joy to cook in the lovely well-designed kitchen. Hot water for the showers was readily available with plenty of towels for both showering and hot tubbing. We had plenty of space for everyone and all the beds were so comfortable! We especially loved using the hot tub after our busy days of hiking. The children loved playing outside and we all enjoyed watching the horses. The surrounding view from the lodge is spectacular and so very peaceful! Location here is everything. We truly were in the “Heart of the Hills” and were able to easily drive to our desired daily activities. The owner was easy to communicate with and we felt very welcome. We all hope to return to this very special haven in the future!!

Our Stay at the Diamond Spur Lodge

The Diamond Spur Lodge was a beautiful and well accommodating place to stay for our group to stay. The outside view was spectacular during the day as well as in the evening. The outside fireplace worked great and it was wonderful to use in the evening which provide lots of seating for all to sit around it.The hot tube was wonderful and very well keeped.The lodge had separate towels for the hot tub which their location was easiy seen. We appreciated to know the Lee Ann had recently replaced the water and made sure the Ph levels were where they needed to be. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to prepare our daily meals. All guest thought the beds were very comfortable and that there was a great supply of towels. We definely will be book again. Everyone from our group commented that it was the nicest VRBO that they had stayed at.

Beautiful cabin at a convenient location. Spacious cabin for 13 people to stay and play. The outdoor space was our favorite. Big covered patio with hot tub. Perfect for the cool mornings and evenings. The kitchen was a great space for many delicious meals.

Fantastic home!

This was the perfect home for a family vacation. We had plenty of space and the house is conveniently located to all the local attractions. The beds were comfortable, we had plenty of towels and the kitchen is well thought out with anything you might need to prepare meals. Wow! The Diamond Spur was absolutely amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our vacation to South Dakota! The location was perfect and the views were spectacular. We had 8 adults and 5 children. We never felt crowded as there was definitely space for everyone! The large gathering room, grand kitchen, open loft, spacious lawn, and all of the "extras" in and out of the house were appreciated. LeeAnn was a wonderful hostess and put a lot of thought into the "little things." If we are ever back, we will definitely be looking into renting from Double Diamond again!
