Villas Los Arcos operates as a small boutique type hotel located close to the southern end of the world renowned Playa La Ropa, Zihuatanejo's premier beach. This two bedroom apartment offers the comforts of home with the colors of Mexico. It is a flat, easy walk to the beach that offers fine restaurants, entertainment, and hours of pleasure. The huge infinity pool is complete with a "playita" (little beach) as well as a cascading waterfall.
Las Aves has an open floor plan suitable for a family or close friends. Beautiful woodwork is found throughout this two-story, two-bedroom and two-bath apartment. Downstairs is a small bedroom with a double bed, bath, and living/kitchen area. Upstairs is the oversized loft with a king-size bed, bath, and plenty of storage space. There is also a small covered terrace area looking towards the mountains. This unit has a private entrance to the street.

If you are planning a trip here and want to be near the beach and everything else it offers, this place is perfect!!! Clean, spacious, easy to check in to, and the owner, Nancy is a gem! I couldn't recommend this place more. I will definitely be back! 11 out of 10!

This Is A Gem

We stayed five nights after driving down from Troncones. I was unsure about how the location would work out but it was outstanding. The villa is a couple blocks off the beach which is a quick few minute walk to the south side of La Ropa beach. We found that a nice walk to the north side of La Ropa and up "cardio hill" gave us a really fun walk into downtown. It allowed us to get some exercise and go into town for a late breakfast. La Ropa is our favorite area in Zihua. The villa has two bedrooms and two baths which gives you some room to move. There's a decent kitchen with oven and microwave. We always appreciate the large bottles of water water waiting for us and resupplied by the owner. There is daily maid service which is unheard of (except Sunday). We found Nancy to be very helpful and communicative. You have your own private entrance and this is located on the backside of the house you see. Just an FYI, there is not a patio to sit outside. The pool area was excellent and the water was perfect. It was nice having the privacy that the property gives you. There are two outside shower areas for cleaning off from the beach and a very nice outdoor bathroom which is a huge plus. Only two suggestions that are minor: since there is no glass allowed around the pool I'd have plastic washable cups made available. The only other thing is a second portable umbrella would have been good for part of the pool deck that had full sun. We love Zihuatanejo and this property. It is immaculately maintained. My wife and I have already discussed and we're looking to rent one of the other rooms just to get a different feel. I highly recommend this property for anyone visiting.

Perfect location

This property was a 5 minute flat walk to La Playa Ropa a great place to kick back and enjoy the ocean. The property was well maintained and very clean. The pool was a great place to relax and swim. A local bus stopped just across the street and provides a quick ride into Zihuatanejo. Nancy was a gracious host and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this property.

After years of traveling throughout Mexico and other parts of the world, the neighborhood of Playa La Ropa was our chosen retirement location. Being a Rotarian in the U.S., it was important to find a local club. Club Rotario de Ixtapa welcomed me and continues to provide great friendships and opportunities to serve the community.

Why they chose this property

The land was purchased in 2001 because of its proximity and the flat easy walk to Playa La Ropa. Early morning walks on the beach, friendly people, and the small town atmosphere drew us to the area. The main building on the property was completed at the end of 2003 providing a residence and the beginning of a small boutique type hotel. Later construction projects provided a pool and two other buildings.

What makes this property unique

Villas Los Arcos offers a little piece of paradise inside our compound’s walls. The pool area is relaxing and provides an area for fun or making new friends of other guests. The property is meticulously well kept by Jony and Tomi who have been with Villas Los Arcos from nearly the start. They are an industrious, hard-working, friendly couple available to ensure our guests have a comfortable stay.
