Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
I thought I was getting the newly renovated room but upon booking the location, I was surprised to see that I was assigned a room number that was not what was advertised. Needless to say, the room we stayed in (just for one night for an original 6 night stay) was not in the best state.I had to get in touch with them a few weeks earlier to change my check in date, but received no response for many days. I had to reach out to this platform for help to finally get a response and although they were very nice to deal with, transactions were not very smooth.No check-in information was sent to me in advance and I had to call the host directly to get the entry code. The apt was quite dilapidated (walls peeling, extremely damaged coffee table, toilet paper holder falling off the wall etc) but I was irked most by how dirty the rooms were. There was trash on the floors, dirty dishes and rag in the kitchen sink and small hairs all over the bathroom sink and shower. They explained to me (AFTER I had to cancel my booking after only 1 night bc I could not tolerate the unsanitary conditions) that there was a glitch with the cleaner and the rooms had not been cleaned as it should have. They promptly and kindly refunded me my money and was very nice to me throughout all the issues we encountered, but I cannot recommend this room to anyone who likes things neat, orderly and prompt. I’m sorry to have to write this, but I hope it helps to manage expectations in the future!
