10 out of 10 Beautiful secluded mountain chalet with outdoor hot tub that offered the perfect blend of peaceful mountain surroundings and convenient proximity to downtown. Super clean with gracious attentive host! Two baby bears walking past the roadway were a bonus.

We had an okay experience at this property. Unfortunately, there were some significant cleaning issues. The host did address this promptly, offering to have the cleaning crew come in the morning after check-in, but we declined as we felt it would be inconvenient. She refunded the cleaning fee plus sent an additional refund, which did make me feel better about the situation. But, I feel that in addition to the lack of sufficient cleaning between us and the previous guest (garbage, dirty dishes, trash in hot tub, dirty floor), there were some longer term issues (dust and dead bugs) and general need for updating (the kitchen was very grimy and could use an update). I also didn't like that there was a dehumidifier which was not specified in the listing and suggested to me moisture problems, as did the overall smell of the property which had older carpeting. So, while I didn't feel like the issues were significant enough to warrant leaving, I was disappointed with the property and would not stay again. I do want to stress that the hosts were friendly and communicative.

Car was vandalized by bears during the trip, febreeze and keep your doors locked at all times. You’ll have to use your personal vehicle to take your trash to the dump site a half mile away from the cabin. The driveway is extremely steep I’d advise to come in a car with high ground clearance and four or all wheel drive.

We have been renting our home for over 30 years. You are the first person I will not rent to again. Cleaning crew informed us that you smoked in our home. Cleaning crew also informed us that you broke (without informing us) a sliding glass door.

The cabin was kept ready for us and the place was clean and tidy. The cabin is located on the Ober mountain drive itself so it was pretty close to all the attractions in Gatlinburg and NP. The cabin has a hot tub and an air hockey table to enjoy as a family. We reached out to Cathy and she was super responsive and answered all our queries promptly. We had a wonderful stay and a blast of a time.

Cute mountain home. Only a 5 minute drive from main strip in Gatlinburg. Real quiet which was what we were looking for. Communication with host was great and property was clean and ready when we got there. Would stay here again.
