Located at the end of a country road on a shallow meandering river/estuary. Fish, kayak or wade from yard. Walk to beach. Upstairs master bedroom with king bed and sitting area with picture windows overlooking water, full bath, washer/dryer, and deck. Downstairs fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room, and two bedrooms with 2 twins each. Dine on deck and watch the waterlife go by. Beach toys and indoor board games supplied. Great place for young kids, teens and multi-generation retreats. Or for your own getaway. Fantastic location

Perfect house in perfect location. Great home base for kayaking, biking, going to the beach, or just sitting and watching the river and all the birds. It's actually as pretty as the pictures!

We stayed here for almost a week and had an excellent time. The house was quite clean and laid out in a way that made trips to the beach, kayaking, and trips around the Cape very easy. The host was quite communicative and was very quick to handle the couple of small issues that we had (even the self inflicted ones). Overall would certainly recommend this property and the host to anyone!

Very lovely place to stay. Very picturesque. But only one adult bed and bed in master bedroom poor quality. Ended up sleeping on floor.

Thank you Ed for your assessment of the bed. Given I have never received that comment or feedback before, I will check it out when I am next there. I trust you did use the spare mattress that is in the upstairs closet rather than sleeping on the floor. And speaking for myself, but I do believe for all homeowners -- we try to make the stay as best as possible for our guests. When some has this kind of issue -- please notify the host during the stay (as I repeatedly ask my guests to do) rather than say something negative in a review. Again, speaking personally, I try my best to resolve issues that I can. I trust others do as well.

Great location and facilities for an enjoyable stay

Characterful Cape Cod cottage with open aspect and views over Swan River at the back. Superb upstairs bedroom with large window aspect to gain full sense of riverside living. A very quiet area, undisturbed during our stay. Useful, central location on the Cape to get to all destinations. We had a very enjoyable stay indeed. Geoff.

Thanks for the review and your explanation. For the non-UK folk, in his own words here's why it got the star rating it did: "Our stay was very satisfactory indeed and you were helpful with everything you did, including allowing us to stay a little longer on our exit day. It is just habit (or a UK thing!!) that one tends not to provide the maximum star rating because it leaves no where to go in terms of absolute performance. Not sure if this would be understood by others."

Beautiful home.

We loved staying at this property. Sue was very communicative and the home was well stocked and clean. The rooms are spacious, the master has an amazing view of the River. We loved sitting outside by the river!! I would absolutely rent again.

Would happily return!

I stayed here with a couple of friends in mid-May. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was perfect for the day-trips and bike rides we did around the Cape. We loved the quiet neighborhood, and the wonderful luxury of starting and ending each day beside the river. It was a wonderfully relaxing stay.

Riverbank hideaway

Wonderful views, great location for kayaking, fishing, or if you time the tides you can just float out and back. Lots of wildlife. Neighbors were nice. House was well equipped and comfortable. Nice mid-cape location with lots of golf courses to pick from if so inclined. Very relaxing.

Cozy New England salt box house on the Swan River. The owner was quick to respond and available for questions before and during stay. Home is located in a quiet neighborhood that is close to beaches, shops, restaurants, and activities. The river behind house is perfect for fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming. House is ready to go and is comfortable for a family. We will be back to rent again.

Lovely stay

Peaceful, comfortable, convenient home. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with back yard river frontage where I had my coffee while watching shore birds in the marsh. Also very convenient to ice cream, morning muffins, grocery. About 15-minute walk to the nearest beach. Sue was so easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed our stay.

Clean and simple with a beautiful river view!

The waterfront on the property is small but sufficient. My 10 yr old son loved catching crabs and we enjoyed having use of the kayaks. Sue's home is clean and had everything we needed. She was immediately responsive to the one question we had.

As you can tell by the title I loved the location! So peaceful, anytime of day, and the best seat was out in the Adirondacks facing the Swan river! Kitchen had everything you needed and if you're lucky enough to get the master bedroom you may not want to leave! Owner answered any questions quickly and was very easy to work with.

Wonderful getaway!

We spent a wonderful week here and were very happy with the house! The view from the upstairs bedroom can't be beat. Loved that we were able to bring our kayaks along and have plenty to explore right from the backyard. Great location near the beach as well as restaurants. Kitchen was fully equipped with anything you could need allowing us to cook a few dinners there.

A lovely classic Cape home in a fantastic location.

The house was roomy, clean. very well appointed, and beautifully decorated. The back yard is a real gem with it's river access, views, and comfortable furnishings. Nice quite neighborhood. Great rental for all ages

My family and I just returned from a week at this property. The location was great and the house had everything we needed. My family, including grandparents and teenagers, all had a great time. My teenage sons really enjoyed going out on the river in the kayaks right from the yard. Also, we were very close to a paddle board/kayak/peddle boat rental shop which we also took advantage of to try out paddle boarding. Rental is close to many good restaurants and beaches as well. House was fully stocked with anything you might need down to body wash and shampoo! My family and I look forward to renting again next summer.

A nice visit

The home is in a quiet, peaceful location overlooking a marsh offering for a relaxed atmosphere. The house is well maintained, very clean and has most of the everyday supplies adequately stocked. Parking is on the property and off street and easy.
