Welcome to Plush, one of the few cowboy towns left in Oregon. The Plush Bunkhouse sits on Hogback Rd directly across from the Hart Mountain store which is the starting point for your vacation. The town of Plush sports a population of less than 100 people so isolation and quiet nights are what you can expect. The Bunkhouse is a studio apartment that boasts 1 queen bed and 1 hide-a-bed, a full bathroom with shower, full kitchen, refrigerator, air conditioning, television, DVD, and a wide selection of classic movies. Across the street is the local hangout the Hart Mountain Store where you can find a fabulous burger and fries, a cold beer at the local bar, or you may run across a number of local cowboys and cowgirls going about their daily lives.
Nearby there are many local attractions for the outdoor enthusiast:
-Hart Mountain Wildlife Refuge, a great place for wildlife viewing of antelope, deer, sage grouse, and hot springs!
-The Glass House (The ceiling is made of Plexiglas and rumored to be the home of a winemaker prior to his death and is now part of Hart Mountain Wildlife Refuge)
-Numerous reservoirs and lakes for abundant fishing for crappie and trout.
-Oregon Sunstones, are located north of Plush and is the official state gemstone. Fee digging and free digging is available and information is located in the store across the street.
-Hunting is another great pastime, numerous opportunities are available for upland game and if your lucky enough to draw a tag antelope and deer.

Great place. Very cozy, warm, nice location across street from store. Felt private even though it was right on road. Two things that were irritating: the front door keypad was broken so we couldn’t get in without calling the landlord
This is a great spot to launch your adventures from- this area has so much to explore and appreciate. We really enjoy staying at the Bunkhouse- have stayed here several times and every time the experience is great!!!
Cute and cozy studio style house with everything you need. Warm on a cold night. Perfect for a couple, a couple of friends, or small family with young children. Quick communication with the owner.
This cozy home had all you could ask for for a weekend getaway. Nice array of movies, comfortable bed and a great shower. The kitchen was stocked nicely with utensils and baking needs. We also used the grill, to smoke a turkey. Ryan was quick to reply to any questions we had and was very flexible to our needs. We will defiantly be back when we return to Plush. I recommend this vacation rental if you are going to the area.
Great place to stay in a very convenient location for rock hounding around plush. The property was very clean and Ryan was very helpful and communicative host. Can’t wait to stay here again
Very cute place. most of our needs disappointed that the DVD player did not work the lighting above the bathroom sink did not work but all in all we like the place and we would stay there again traveling through.
Excellent place to launch your visit to Hart Mountain and all the wonders of eastern Oregon. Cabin had well-appointed kitchen, small but comfortable. Has everything you needed.
If you want an authentic western small town experience, Plush is for you. Cowboys, farm dogs and truly friendly people describes this town. The bunk house is across the street from the Hart Mountain Store, which serves plain good food, is a well kept, clean and homey. I’d stay here again.
Our girl trip was a hit, we stayed at the Plush Bunkhouse. It slept 4 nicely, very peaceful . Location was prefect for going to sunstones sites, and to Hart Mountain exploring , ( and finding the wonderful hot springs) The price is right, I would recommend this Vacation Rental .
The bunkhouse was perfect for what we needed. We did some Sunstone mining and it was a perfect place to rest after a hard day work. And the plush store across the street A great place to get our necessities or a yummy steak or hamburger. Enjoyed staying here and we will be staying again.
I’ve stayed in Plush numerous times and finally booked the Bunkhouse. It was by far the best place from amenities to location and price! I’m booking all out stays here! Thank you to our host for making a warm, safe and welcoming place.
We have stayed at the cabin before and it was spotless. This time there were a few issues. Trash wasn't dumped in bathrooms, dirty towel laying on the bathroom floor, only half a roll of toilet paper, used soap, shampoo and razor in the shower stall. We did enjoy our time in Plush, love the little store across the street, got ice there and tried out the restaurant, yummy food! Thank you!
