The host was so welcoming. She actually greeted us and showed us around this unique home, shared a little history and made suggestions for restaurants.
I really enjoyed my stay at this home. It’s within walking distance to Cave Creek shops & restaurants, but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The place is much larger than the pictures show & it has ample outdoor area to enjoy the nice weather.
Great place to stay in the small town of Cave Creek on the north edge of the Phoenix metro area!We were in AZ to attend the wedding of one of my nephews at the Desert Foothills Events and Weddings facility on the north side of Scottsdale, and Turtle House was a short drive away.
We had such an amazing time here! The decor and art made it so inviting and comfy. Loved all the separate areas to gather in. We were outside on the patios all the time. The front courtyard was great at night with the fire pit. We loved the place.
A beautiful home with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. We had us and our wedding party stay during our wedding weekend. It was magical place that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Thank you for sharing your home for our special weekend.
Had 3 bedrooms that were very nice. The host is amazing to work with. The property was located in the back. Lots of privacy, spacious home and beautiful views. Close Uber ride to town town.
This is such an amazing property! The building has so much character!! The beds were all very comfortable. The fourth couple ended up putting together the 2 twins in the living room and making a second king rather than sleeping in the extra full sized futon in the third bedroom. The deck is amazing! Sat out there a lot. Saw a bobcat, roadrunner, bunny, coyotes and many birds. Plenty of space for us all. Bull Brew coffee had amazing coffee and was an easy gravel path walk back to Main Street. Janeys Bodega down the street 1 mile (we drove) was much calmer than the giant bars and lovely sandwiches, other food and a great drink selection had a variety of musicians playing on a gorgeous patio. Crying Coyote BBQ was yummy and even had a vegetarian jack fruit option! Spur Cross Dragonfly trail was beautiful!!Cave creek is such a fun town! Rare Earth was a fun shop! Other fun shops nearby to browse.
Plus: comfortable beds and outdoor seating
Minus: property seemed somewhat neglected - random cooking equipment, some unusable because of burned in food/grease. Main bedroom has no shades for privacy or darkness and nowhere to put clothes. The roof leaked while we were there and it was never addressed by the property manager. We still give it a 4 but someone needs to spend a couple of hours going through every cupboard and checking all the bedding.
A spacious, relaxing, beautiful and quirky home with plenty of room for the entire family to be together and apart. We loved dining on the back deck and enjoying the cool mornings and evenings. This house embodies southwest aesthetics and has a fascinating history. Check out the books by and about the previous owners that are available in the home.
Close to hiking paths and a regional park, a great home for those who love to hike or ride horses amongst cacti!
Enjoyed the house and the location. Great hiking is just a few miles behind the house, bars and restaurants are around the corner, and golf at Rancho Manana is around the other
corner. Excellent communication. We would come back again.
We thoroughly enjoyed the property, it's rich history, and everything we did while in Arizona. Be sure to visit the Jewel of the Creek, which is only a few minutes from the property.
The property was way more spacious than the photos showed. The house was very cute and comfortable.
