Weekend Stay

We had a day event to attend in the area and this Jamaican home stay was just right. This home has an affordable rate for us who are traveling from another part of the island, however, our primary reason for choosing this spot was the backyard. The deck and the trees and its visiting blackbirds' and songbirds added a bit of peace and calming that we both enjoyed. The house has a simple layout in an older style of construction but was clean, comfortable and had a safe feeling. Because of a lower ceiling due to the older style construction the home tends to be a much warmer feel, so the air conditioner in our bedroom was very welcome. We are familiar with the area and also felt safe walking around. In fact, many of the local neighbors would wave at us knowing we were a temporary stay. Even though the kitchen is a small area, we were quite pleased that it was well supplied. Helpful for those who would like to do a longer stay. Overall, we were able to relax and feel comfortable for our brief stay of three nights. Thank you Peter for having us. Gene

Attentive host, Clean, Safe, Spacious

This is my second time staying at this location. Peter is the most attentive and considerate host. I made some suggestions from my last stay and he made all those changes, including getting a work desk and chair and adding a covering for the back porch. Anytime I needed anything, I received a response in less than 30 minutes. The neighborhood is safe and walkable if you choose to take walks in the neighborhood. There are some small little shops you can get snacks from that are about a 10 min walk. It's close to the main road and easy to catch a local taxi. There is a big backyard with great fruit trees (mangos, soursop, ackee, and bananas). I stayed for two months and Peter helped make feel like a home for me.

Not close anything. If your a tourist not good location for you. To far away from the center.

Thank goodness we had family so we were ok. But for strangers it would’ve been a challenge getting around. If you want to be away from everybody, good place to stay very relaxing.

Patricia thank you for the review though very very unfair!! Located within 30 mins drive from the center of Montego Bay my listing is located in the resort area of Rose Hall. One of the best locations in Montego Bay. Only 10 minutes walk to the Rose Hall Hilton and 10 mins walk to the beach. The Cinnamon Hill Golf Course is less than 5 mins drive. The Shoppes at Rose Hall about 7 minutes drive. Sangster's International Airport is under 20 mins. Getting around is very easy. It’s a only a 5 minute walk to the A1 Main to get a route taxi into town for under USD $2 per person. Easy to get transportation to Negril, Falmouth, Ocho Rios or Kingston. I have hosted many travelers from all around the world who found the location to be quiet as you mentioned and easy to get around. I have also had multiple repeat guests. There is also a private taxi service available that I recommended to you as well as to all my guests. So transportation is never an issue. Best, Peter
