The cottage is across the street from the beach .Aapproximately 100 yards or 3 minute walk to the gulf Everything you need is provided in the living area along with outdoor table and chairs that you can dine outside and enjoy the tropical breeze. Post hurricane, the landscape was damaged and the town is working hard to rebuild There are at least 10 restaurants open along with multiple food trucks

Host welcomed in person upon arrival. Very pleasant and courteous. House was lovely and spacious for our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to future visits at this location.

Nice spring break

The property is identical to what is shown in the photos. Everything was in working order, the ACs worked well, it was clean and the host was great. If you have any questions they are easily available. Property is very close to the beach. We had a great time.

Great stay

Rental was perfect for our long weekend with 6 adults. Easy and quick walk to the beach. Only negative was everything was driving distance (except beach). Otherwise a lovely area. There were plenty of towels, beach chairs and a wagon for hauling items to and from.

Relaxing Vacation

This unit was perfect for our trip. It's just a short walk to the beach and the unit has beach chairs an umbrella to use. We enjoyed being able to sit outside in the evening on the patio. There are several restaurants and bars close by to enjoy good food and beverages. Bob and Molly are great hosts and even reached out to us before we got there to get our arrival time so they could have the lights on if it was late. Thank you so much for sharing your beach cottage with us. We will absolutely be back again!

Bob and Molly were excellent hosts. The major drawback was the new construction going on all around us. Noisy. But that isn’t the host fault and it soon will be done in their location!

We had an amazing vacation while staying at the cottage. I would surely give 10 stars in every review category. The check in/out process could not have been easier; Molly and Bob are kind and gracious hosts and we loved our chats with them! The property description was accurate and the cottage was very clean. Do NOT overlook this property because it’s is a bit outdated, it is safe, well stocked, cared for by wonderful people and you CANNOT beat the location! We hope to come back soon! ~ Victoria

Island Life!

Stayed with my wife and 2 year old. It was perfect for us! Beach is right across the street and it’s a central location to everything! Molly and Bob are very accommodating. Close to the action but nice and quiet too.

A quick get away

Home away from home. Comfortable, everything we needed and just across from the beach. Lost power due to storm were kept up to date and lights provided. Will come.back soo er than later we hope!!

Perfect for a small family!

Our family of three stayed at the cottage and loved the location...an easy walk to the beach and a short drive to the shops and restaurants. Molly and Bob have a wonderfully equipped location both inside and out, and were quick and easy with communication needs. We had a wonderful visit to Fort Myers!

It was great!

Everything was as advertised. The area was still recovering from the hurricane, but we knew that. The owners were so nice and helpful!!! We enjoyed visiting with them so much!! We just walked across the street to the beach. We used the umbrella provided, as we are from the Midwest and didn’t think of bringing one. Our stay was amazing!

Quick getaway vacation

The property worked out great for the three of us. We scheduled a fishing trip on a charter boat out of Fort Myers Beach. We were able to cook breakfast each morning, make our lunches and then cook most of our dinners each night for the week. In other words, the kitchen worked out well. The location afforded us easy access to Fort Myers Beach, which was a short walk across the street. I’m guessing 300 yards to the water. All in all, it was a great place to stay, and would highly recommend it. Bob & Molly were excellent hosts.

Great Stay at FMB!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Tranquila Beach Cottage. The owners were great and the house was cozy and clean. The beach is literally across (5 min walk) the street. We would definitely rent again!

Lovely clean and functional apartment

We enjoyed our 4 day stay in this older 2 bedroom apartment which is basically right across the street from the beach . While we were saddened to see the hurricane damage to the town , the apartment was not impacted and was just what my wife and I needed for 4 days. The communications with Bob were flawless and he was there to welcome us upon our arrival. The second story apartment was clean and we had everything we needed . We definitely would stay here again if we are ever back in the Ft Meyers Beach area.

This was perfect accommodation for our girls trip.Enjoyed the use of the beach umbrella, chairs and wagon. Beach across the road. Great Hosts and CLEAN!!

I have a hard time staying anywhere other than home because I hate gross smells and grimy whatever. This place has an authentic vintage vibe (fun!) and is so clean and smells nice. If you want to hit the beach all you have to do is cross the road, and everything you need is provided including the beach wagon to haul it in. Thanks for the great stay!!

My husband and I are retired and live the island lifestyle. I was a nurse and my husband worked in landscape and at different health facilities.

Why they chose this property

Our property is a duplex cottage and has been in the family since early 1900’s. There is nothing like island living!

What makes this property unique

Our cottage is a 100 yard walk to the beach. Swimming, sunbathing, playing in the sand, and beautiful sunsets are at your fingertips. We are walking distance from restaurants, downtown, a large library, water park, and gym. There is also a island trolley stop around the corner to take you where you need to go. Jet skiing and parasailing are available down the street from the cottage. On site, we have two patios (covered and uncovered) with BBQ grill, and a hammock.
