Overlooking the seaside town of Souris, Colville Bay and the Northumberland Strait, A Sight to Sea Cottage offers plenty of picturesque scenery. Whether it is watching fishing boats or the Magdalen Island Ferry sail in and out of the harbour, paddle or kite boarders riding the waves off Souris beach, oyster fishermen harvesting their catch, seabirds diving into the ocean or the gentle night time lights of the town reflecting in the water, there is always “a sight to sea".

Situated on 5 acres of property in a rural quiet setting, A Sight to Sea Cottage is in a perfect location to explore eastern PEI. It is close to shopping, restaurants, golfing, fishing experiences and beautiful beaches. Sheep Pond Beach is a short walk of less than 10 minutes and the popular Basin Head Beach is a drive of less than 15 minutes.

Inside, the main level of this 2 storey cottage features a grand Island stone wood burning fireplace that is a cozy centrepiece of the home. The downstairs open floor plan features lots of big windows that overlook the pretty coastal setting and allow in plenty of light. The well appointed kitchen is equipped fully with everything you need. The main level is also home to a full bathroom and large bedroom with a queen size bed.

As you move to the second level, at the top of the stairs there is an open reading area with a couch, books and board games. Off this lounging space, a catwalk connects to an open loft area which features a sleeping space with a double and a twin size bed. This room comes complete with a shuffle board game table.

Upstairs you will also find a second large bedroom with king size bed. This bedroom connects to the loft sleeping area with sliding doors which can be conveniently left open or closed depending on your needs. This bedroom also connects to the upstairs bathroom. The bathroom has two doors, one which connects to the bedroom and the other accessing the open laundry area which houses the washer and dryer.

Outside, the cottage features a deck and covered veranda, with seating to enjoy the unobstructed water views. There is a BBQ for grilling and a fire pit with seating and campfire wood. For outdoor fun, a soccer ball, football, washer toss game, kites and frisbees are provided.

Perfect Week in PEI

Our family had a wonderful time staying in this house, it was absolutely perfect. The house was in great condition and had everything we needed (wonderful grill, great fire pit, all cooking amenities, etc.). Layout of the house was perfect for our family - 2 parents, 2 kids, and 1 grandmother. It has great views over to Souris and is very close to a fantastic beach! Hosts were very helpful and made sure we knew where everything was. We felt very welcomed. We had a wonderful time, and really couldn't have asked for anything more. We will certainly be planning a return visit!

Absolutely spectacular views from this gorgeous seaside home. Lisa has provided every single thing one could need for a perfect vacation! The amazing views can be seen from every window in this house… Beautiful seaside on one side and PEI fields that stretch on forever on the other! This spot is so quiet and relaxing… Could spend forever sitting on that beautiful back porch watching oyster fisherman, the Ferries, and boats coming and going. It's the perfect spot to unwind, relax, and refresh! The beds are so comfy provided a great night sleep! The kitchen stocked with everything that you need for perfect PEI dinners! We loved having the washer and dryer .. this cottage is definitely a sight to Sea!! It's beautifully decorated… In the wood and beautiful red stone fireplace is amazing… Cannot wait to come back !!

Perfect for our family!

We had an amazing time at Lisa and Scott’s cottage! From check-in through check out everything was seamless. They’ve included all the comforts of home and so all we really needed were our clothes and groceries. They even left a thoughtful and delicious welcome snack of local treats! The cottage itself is beautiful and spotless. There was plenty of space for our family of four and it would easily be comfortable for more guests. The location couldn’t be better for a young family. There is plenty of space for kids to play outside and there is a fantastic little beach within a 10-minute walk. We also enjoyed a couple of campfires with s’mores. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful family vacation

Our family of six had a wonderful stay at Lisa and Scott’s cottage. It was a perfect base for touring the eastern points of PEI, including a trips to Basin Head, golf, hiking in PEI National Park, a picnic at the Inn at Bay Fortune and more. The cottage was pristine and it was clear that the owners have put a lot of thought into what guests will need while visiting. Both Lisa and Scott were responsive and warm. We highly recommend both them and their cottage.

Beautiful cottage

We had a lovely stay at Lisa and Scott’s place in Souris. The cottage is beautiful, situated in a stunning location overlooking the bay. It was well equipped for our stay and within a very short walk to the beach. Lisa and Scott were gracious hosts and were able to take our family on a fishing excursion on short notice. We had a very relaxing time at their place and will definitely be back to enjoy this laid back part of the island.

Great cottage home in a perfect location

This property and it's owners were absolutely spectacular. The cottage offers all the amenities of home. The covered porch is a perfect place to sip your early morning coffee and enjoy the stunning view. The cottage is conveniently located to several attractions on the Island, as well as some if the most beautiful beaches in North America. The private beach just a short walk away was an extra added bonus. We (a family of 6) thoroughly enjoyed our week here in July. There was lots of room for all of us. We were very fortunate to have such gracious hosts, Lisa was very responsive to all our requests and queries from the get go. I would highly recommend this property for a family vacation.

Wonderful stay!!!!! Spacious accommodations. Lisa and Scott provided everything you could think of that you might need from beach chairs to lawn games to every sort of pots and pans to make your stay feel like you were right at home. The veranda and sitting area, simply the best for R&R. Wonderful view of the bay. Library, games and movies great for the uncommon rainy days should they pop up through your vacation. Would I come out again, visit and stay here again??? In a minute!!!!!!!!

Superbe cottage! Great location. All you need for a memorable vacation!

The cottage is well equipped and has everything needed to have a good time at home (even board games, kite, and sticks for marshmallows!) and at the beach (beach chairs, towels, sand toys). We had a lot of fun with the shuffleboard table. Lisa and Bruce thought of everything. The place is clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious. The cottage is also well located. 5 minutes walk from a small quiet beach. By car, 2 minutes from the Lobster Shack and a few minutes from the grocery store. We recommend this place for a no-stress vacation on the Island!

Beautiful location with amazing views and everything you need for a relaxing getaway!

Lisa and Scott are fantastic hosts! They met us at the cottage and provided us with suggestions on where to eat, what beaches to visit and other local treasures. The cottage was very clean and had everything that we needed from sand toys and beach chairs, a great grill to BBQ, lots of towels and extra linens, wood for bonfires and games to play. The kitchen was very well equipped for our stay. They thought of everything to make our stay relaxing on the Island. We highly recommend this location to anyone. We can’t wait to go back again!
