Main living space has comfy sectional, fully-appointed eat-in kitchen, and party-lit, screened-in porch - perfect for dining and relaxing, day and night! Barbecue grill on site. Amazing Much Needed Stay!

We were in a bit of a bind to find a good spot for us and our pups and boy were we pleasantly surprised and pleased with the Mermaid Manor! An incredible location, perfect set up for the dogs, and we were able to take advantage of all it had to offer.

Quiet, friendly neighborhood

The property was very clean upon arrival! Tina was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions about the property and local recommendations. The neighbors were so friendly and offered suggestions for the beach and restaurants. Our dog and children loved waking to the bay beach in the evenings. We had a great stay overall!

We injured our self always love the New Jersey beaches and the boardwalks. TV should be updated at the mermaid Manor other than that it's a decent little cottage quiet neighborhood clean house

Great value, convenient location.

The yard is fenced in on 3 sides with a thicket in the back...just be aware of this in case it is problematic. The property is very close (walking distance) to Fleck's Ice Cream, which is amazing! Super close to the bay as well. We were a little disappointed that there was no cable in the bedrooms but we didn't spend much time there anyway. Tina was very nice!

Family vacation

Everything was great. Checked in with Tina when we arrived very nice person was available if we needed her at anytime. The cottage was very clean, welcoming and charming. Very centraly located for everything we wanted to do. Cape may whale Watching, Atlantic City, Wildwood. Our dog loved it there also. Thanks again Tina. Hope to plan another trip next year. Cindy K

Mermaid Manor Stay

The property was good for us and located in a great location. Close to everything. Tina was very easily accessible and communication was great. The home was very cozy for us. The only thing was we brought our little dog and went to take him to the beach on the bay near the home,the listing says dogs are allowed. They are only allowed during off-season and during season they can go after 4 PM. Still in all very memorable and lovely trip. I would definitely go back again.

Nice House

The house was nice. It was clean and the owner was friendly and responsive when needed. There was a problem with ants, but the owner promptly handled it. The property was advertised as fully fenced and it wasn’t, which was a disappointment because we had a small dog and hoped it could run freely in the yard. The kitchen could have benefited from a few more utensils and better tableware. The biggest issue was the lack of a fully fenced in yard. Other than that, the property provided a comfortable stay.

An amazing week

Really meant to write this review immediately after our stay but lost track of time. Mermaid Manor was an amazing place to stay for a multi generational family vacation. We stayed for a week back in early August. The house was the perfect size for our family of 4 and the in laws. 6 total people and a dog. Tina was an amazing host. Answering every question that we had. Everything she said about the house was spot on. She also told us that the beach was not really suitable for swimming. Not the best for beach activities but had amazing sunsets. We took a quick trip to Town Bank to enjoy the beach. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. Was nice to have the washer and dryer available and the grill was a nice touch for meals. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Friendly folks up and down the street.. This property was better than other properties that we have stayed at in the Cape May area. Would definitely recommend this house for a fun and relaxing trip away from home. Would definitely go back.

Disappointing

The house itself was extremely old and the furniture and bedding were extremely uncomfortable. The floors were dirty from arrival, and there were barely any dishes to eat on. It was not listed on Vrbo to bring linens or bath towels while we had to supply ourselves on the rental (It’s still NOT listed). The host let us use only one set of sheets in the locked closet. In the other beds, we had to lay blankets down. Also, no bath towels for bathing so we had to purchase bath towels ourselves. The air conditioning unit would freeze up at 75 degrees which was mentioned to us that was considered “normal.” The temperature of the house was 78-79 degrees most of the day during a hot week. The bay beach was dirty and filled with horseshoe crabs so we couldn’t even enjoy laying out, we decided to drive 20 minutes to pay for beach passes for Cape May Points beach every day. The upkeep of the outside of the home, the grass, bushes, etc. was unkept and looked like it wasn't done for weeks. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

Loved it!

We had so much fun at Mermaid Manor! The location is close to downtown Cape May, Wildwood, and the beautiful bay. It's a great place to just stay in and relax also. The host, Tina, was responsive and gracious. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely loved staying at Mermaid Manor

We had the most amazing week. Walked my dog daily who became the star of the street! The house is amazing, spacious, clean, all amenities, everything we could have asked for. Tina was a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend this house to any family. 20 mins from Wildwood Boardwalk and 20 mins from Cape May which I absolutely loved. We had such a great time at the Mermaid Manor! the place was super clean and comfortable. Tina is a wonderful person and gracious host. This was our first time staying in Villas and we enjoyed exploring the neighborhood and surrounding sights. we met the neighbor next door as well who was super nice and made us feel right at home. Our dogs had a great time in the yard and we so appreciated the house being all fenced in! this was really a plus for our situation. We look forward to our next stay! Perfect beach house

We enjoyed our stay at the mermaid Manor. It was the perfect . The screened in porch and outdoor shower were wonderful parks! Our small dog enjoyed the fenced in yard and the beds were surprisingly comfy, as well. We would definitely book again.

Beach Trip

We all had a wonderful time during our stay at Mermaid Manor. The place was just the right size. Loved having coffee in the morning on the screened porch. Enjoyed the daily walks to the beach with our dog. The neighbors were friendly. The house was very clean and had everything you could need in the kitchen area. We would definitely come again. The house itself was beautiful and clean. There were games available to play and interesting books. The screened in porch with lites was a lovely space to be in. It was disappointing that the beach that was 2 blocks from property didn’t allow swimming.

Lovely cottage

Spent a long weekend with a friend to escape the city. It was lovely. The grass smelled sweet, the house was inviting and clean. The location was perfect. We went for long walks with my dog in the evening. Easy access to town and to the point. I hope to return again in the future. I highly recommend this property. It was as if we stayed at a friends home. Thank you for the long needed break.

What makes this property unique

Should be noted that the yard backs up to wetlands and is 3/4 fenced with a thicket across the back of reeds and thorn bushes. Most dogs will not venture into that thicket, but you should be the judge of your own pup.
