About this property

Ocean One 519, Top Floor, Direct Ocean View!

This top-floor condo (Unit 519) in the lovely Ocean One complex has stunning ocean views from the living room and master bedroom balconies. It was remodeled and refurnished in the winter of 2017-2018 to give it the feel of a colorful beach cottage with a penthouse view, and we update things every year to keep it fresh.

The Ocean One complex has two elevators, grills, and a firepit area that is open fall through spring. The pool area was redone in the winter of 2024-25 and is now heated in cooler weather and cooled in the summer. (Its temperature can't be more than 20 degrees higher or lower than the air temperature, however.) The deck area was expanded, too.

The condo is a very short walk to Coligny Plaza with its variety of shops and restaurants and entertainment---you can leave your car in the parking lot your entire vacation. You can walk out of the Ocean One complex to miles of running trails, or take a bike for a ride on the beach, or drive a short ways to the top-notch golf courses nearby. It's also a short walk to Lowcountry Celebration Park with its playground, children's museum, and outdoor concert venue.

This villa is non-smoking with no pets allowed. Parking passes for two cars are issued for each stay.

We own this condo and the one next door (listing vrbo.com/339445), and we try to make each of them a place we like to stay when we can.

Hello! I'm truly sorry that you didn't let me know about any of your concerns during your stay because I would have loved a chance to address them for you and for future guests. When I say in the welcome email to let me know if anything needs attention, I mean it! I was in the unit a week before your stay and didn't notice any odd smell then, but in general, if you think something smells because it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned, the cleaners would be more than willing to come back out to address it. If it's due to something else, then I'm happy to talk with you more to try to find the right fix. I'm not sure what about the showers you didn't like, but again, if it's a cleaning issue, the cleaners can come back out. If something needs a plumber's attention then I can have one stop by. I'm also not sure what the issue with the mattresses was--the one in the king bedroom is a Sleep Number and sometimes the instructions get stuck in a drawer. The back bathroom door is a pocket door, so it's a little different than the norm, but if the hardware isn't latching or something then I can get that fixed. I'm glad I was able to help you meet the windshield repair company the day you arrived, and I hope you enjoyed your time in Hilton Head.

Very clean and updated unit. Loved the top floor location and view. So close to Coligny circle, could walk there. Lovely roomy kitchen with all amenities. Four sand chairs and an umbrella on the premises were a great bonus ! The grounds were beautiful and enjoyed sitting around the gas fire pits in the evening. Very pleased.
