Beautiful Beach House with Large Swimming Pool in Ocean Beach

Centrally located just 5 minutes to beach and downtown Ocean Beach, this house has a true resort feeling, featuring a heated swimming pool, chaise lounges, sectional outdoor seating, dining for 10, oversized grill, and shower and commode on the outside. Interior features include gorgeous reclaimed hardwood floors, kitchen with Viking range, central AC and heating and WiFi.

Throughout the house including the pool side and the outdoors dining area, there is a surround sound system which can be controlled via Bluetooth.

Upstairs features an alcove den with a convertible sofa and the spacious luxury master suite has a king bed, en suite bathroom, a sitting area and a Juliet balcony overlooking the swimming pool.

Everything is within walking distance! The center of Ocean Beach where the ferry docks is only 5 minutes away, and has grocery stores, gift shops, plenty of restaurants and bars, ice cream shops and cafe, and a children's playground. The beach is only 5 minutes in the other direction!

Amazing stay!

Best location on Fire Island, and the house is beautiful. We spent most of our time in and around the pool area in the back and had an amazing week. Would definitely choose this property for our next trip!

Our group of couples had a wonderful time staying at the house! The entire house was beautiful, spotless, and super relaxing. We barely made it to the beach (even though it was super close) because the pool and backyard were so enticing! We stayed for a week and couldn't say enough positive things about this property. Additionally, Kelly was a gracious and responsive host - a dream to work with.

Family Vacation 2023

The house was spacious with a lovely outdoor deck and plenty of lounge chairs around the heated pool. The outdoor shower and bathroom was such a great amenity. There were plenty of beach chairs & umbrellas as well as a cart for a short walk to the beach. Town and restaurants were a short walk too. The central air worked well. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We loved the chandelier in the rooms it added a cozy feel.

Perfect Ocean Beach Rental

We had an amazing time at this property. While Fire Island is a wonderful getaway, I think this house made our stay even better. The location is perfect - a short walk to both town and the beach. The property is ideal. Inside, the bedrooms were all sizeable and plenty of linens and pillows made them comfortable. There were also plenty of towels, both for the beach and for the shower which was nice. The washer and dryer were new and helped us stay ahead of the laundry that piles up on vacation. The kitchen and living areas are very well designed and feautre high-end appliances. While we didn’t eat in during our stay, you definitely could. The outdoor area, including the grilling area and the pool are unique in Fire Island. First, the size - it’s huge. A large outdoor dining area with the grill complement the various other seating areas nicely. Secondly, the pool - it’s fantastic. Our son was 2.5 during our stay so the ocean is a bit too much for him still. Having the pool made made a big difference - he wanted to stay in it all day. They also have every pool float ever made which was fun for all of us. Communication with the owner was easy via email, though not needed since there really weren’t any problems. Overall we had a great time and definitely hope to rent this property again in the future.

Great Fire Island House

The house looked just like the photos. It was clean, updated and spacious, both indoors or out. The full outdoor bathroom was great, giving us 3 full bathrooms to utlized. The pool was amazing and we used it every day. There were tons of pool toys, plus beach chairs and umbrellas, all in great shape. We had a few questions about getting into the house, and the reponse was quick. If we come back to Ocean Beach, we would definitely look to rent this house again.

Holes in the screens. Bikes with flat tires. Closets and drawers filled with stuff. The door knob fell off! The pool was beautiful we were very grateful for the good weather!

Hi Ronni, I am glad you enjoyed the pool and had good weather during your stay. And thank you for letting me realize again how grateful I am for all of the other guests who had actually experienced unexpected interruptions (sudden A/C or grill issues, for example), yet remained extremely patient and gracious until help arrived. As I explained in detail to many of your text messages, our local housekeeper, her cleaning team, and our contractors worked harder than ever this year and last year to maintain the house as nice and problem-free as possible. This summer, Fire Island saw two major storms that left damages and service interruptions all over the island. This was right before you arrived — I personally spent the previous two nights in the house before your arrival to have the contractors come visit and ensure everything was working fine. Apologies for the flat tires on the bikes. I certainly missed that one, and we are ordering new bikes for next season. As for the doorknob, it was in place when I was in the house. Sorry it fell off. As for the extra beddings and baby/kid items in closets, we intend to keep them that way because there are more families who have benefited (than suffered) from them. I went back to the house after you left and re-evaluated the closet space, and there are still plenty of space to store clothings for the guests. Regardless, my sinceres apologies for your less than ideal experience. Some things are just not meant-to-be. I wish you the best.

Great overall stay

The location was ideal (close to both beach and town/restaurants/ice cream) and the pool was a perfect add-on. Although we love the ocean, it was nice to have a heated pool to dip into. The kitchen and main areas were clean - perfect for a family that cooks. Beach houses usually have some wear and tear, but this house wasn't too bad in that regard. The upstairs shower was clogged with what we assumed was sand or hair, so we primarily used the downstairs and outdoor showers. I can go on about the stay and how lovely it was, but this listing was pretty accurate to what was advertised. We were all so happy during our stay.

Wonderful way to end the summer.

I am not one to write reviews so I will keep this short and sweet, if you want a place that you can take the family that all can enjoy this is the house. The pool will serve as a great in between (beach & town) distraction, so you don't get the "I am bored" talk from the kids. And for the adults sitting outside at night, relaxing under the stars is a great way to end a day. Highly recommend!!!

We share the house with friends and extended family members during the off-season (it is so calm and beautiful in May and September!) as well as some weeks and weekends in the summer.

Why they chose this property

There's nowhere in the world quite like Fire Island! No cars, walk everywhere, it feels like a throwback to some simpler time. Come and experience it for yourself!
