Luxury Home-NEW Outdoor Pavilion, Heated Pool, Volleyball Court, Fire Pit & MORE

Enjoy a memorable vacation at our home in South Haven, MI, only an hour and a half drive from Chicago. The house is a fully furnished, brand new, open concept home located one block away from the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan. The home has a total of 6 bedrooms (the 4 bedrooms on the common floor all have a smart TV), 5 full baths, an open concept common area for the living room, dining room, kitchen area, a large furnished horseshoe-shaped 2nd-floor loft overlooking the common area. The house sleeps a total of 16 people.

The house is fully furnished with a modern farmhouse decor throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, microwave, toaster, coffee maker that uses ground coffee, utensils, etc., and has a solid wood dining table for 8, kitchen table that seats 6 and also a kitchen island that seats 4. There is a sofa, loveseat and a fireplace in the living room. There is big smart TV over the fireplace. The personal touches in decor along with the themed bedrooms give you the feeling of being in the comfort of your own home.

There are sliding patio doors in the kitchen leading out to a deck. There is a gas grill for your use along with patio furniture and newly added pergola with couches to lounge. In the backyard there is an inground pool (which is open May 25 through September 25), life sized chess set, fire pit, sand volleyball court, bocce ball court.

There is a large driveway leading to the house with room for parking that also has a new basketball rim.

No matter the season, there is always something to do.

THINGS TO DO---SUMMER: For your use, there is a folder filled with brochures of nearby places of interest and there are also local phone books with theatres, restaurants, and shopping. There are usually festivals and fairs happening in and around the area. In the Summer enjoy swimming and sunning on Lake Michigan, only a 5-minute walk on a private path to 1st Avenue beach. The public beach is a 5-minute car or bike ride away. Visit some nearby farmer's markets for the freshest fruits and vegetables, homemade jams, and fresh-baked pies and bread. Try the local wines at the nearby wineries in the area. New Buffalo Four Winds Casino & Resort nearby.

THINGS TO DO---FALL AND WINTER: In the Fall, go apple and pumpkin picking with the kids or for a hayride. Niles Haunted House Scream Park---Compare With Chicago Prices , Wineries: Tabor Hill And Roundbarn Winery

Winter offers the opportunity to go ice-fishing, ice-skating, and sledding on the lake and snowmobiling on the abundant trails in the area. There are nearby sledding hills and a ski resort 45 minutes away. There are many tree farms also to chop down your very own X-mas tree to take home. Come back and enjoy some hot chocolate by the fire with your family as you watch the snow falling.

Roll out garbage cans on Tuesdays between 6 and 8 am and cans must be 2 feet apart or they will not pick up

The home and location were all that we hoped them to be. The whole family enjoyed it and voted to return next year. We used all of the amenities on the property, enjoyed shopping in South Haven, and did daily visits to the nearby beach on Lake Michigan. Deanna responded quickly to our questions regarding a couple of things--very pleased with her personableness.

Great place to stay!

We had a great stay at this house near the beach. The location was perfect, and we really enjoyed the swimming pool. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend!

We’ve stayed here for 3 years in a row and plan on continuing to do so. Our kids love the pool and the loft space. The basement is a great hang out spot. Our only suggestion would be to add a rug on the main floor to help reduce the noise - but that may be a unique problem since our kids are so loud.

Family vacation in a great house

Had a great time. The pool, yard games, close to the beach was all amazing!!! The kitchen had everything you needed-plenty of room for everyone to spread out!!! The host was always available to answer our questions!!! Highly recommend this house!!!

The backyard is not what it looks like, the property is very expensive compared to what it offers. The walk to the beach is not short especially when carry arms full of stuff. The property was clean and fully stocked. Volleyball court was full of weeds, backyard is fake grass and hodgepodge’s together.

Amazing house.

The house was by far the most stocked VRBO we have ever rented. There was plenty of room for all 12 of us and enough games to keep us occupied for days. We would definitely recommend this house for anyone who is looking for a rental, you will not be disappointed.

Family vacation

This was our family’s first time in South Haven, and it was a great experience. We had 16 people staying in the house (7 adults and 9 kids under 7) and this house had plenty of space. The backyard was great and it’s close enough to town and to the beach. The first street beach was nice, but the stairs to get down to the beach pretty steep. The house was well stocked, the owner was easy to get in touch with, and overall it was a great trip and we would definitely come back!

Family celebration of anniversary

The house was perfect for my husband and I with our children and grandchildren. Everyone loved the spacious house and all the activities in the back yard, pool, sand volleyball, bean bags, bocce ball. Short walk to beach. Owners put a lot of thought into this home. ENJOYED BY ALL!!

Wonderful place to stay

We had a wonderful week’s stay with perfect weather. The pool was amazing! The weather was warm enough we didn’t even use the pool heater. The house was very clean upon arrival. Lots of room and bathrooms to spread out. The oven knob was broken but that was the only problem we had. We want to stay here again! This is our 2nd time staying here. The property owners were great to work with.

Family trip

I stayed at the property with my three adult children, their spouses, and four grandchildren, ages 10, 8, 5, and 8 months. The house was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The neighborhood was quiet, and close to the beach and downtown. The yard was great and we enjoyed the pool. The basement was filled with games. We had non stop fun, and would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Spot for Family Getaway!

We loved our stay at this gem in South Haven! We had a BLAST taking advantage of all there was to do in the basement and backyard- volleyball, swimming, ping-pong, and much more. The main living/kitchen area is spacious and open, and we made good use of the kitchen to cook a delicious breakfast feast each morning. The walk to the beach was an easy 5 minutes where we had it mostly to ourselves, and the drive into town was just a few minutes, also. There were so many cute, little shops and plenty of dining options, too. Our only complaint was that we had trouble getting some of the TVs and remotes to work. We would totally stay here again.

Perfect house for family of 14

The house was perfect for our family of 14 as we were celebrating my in-laws 50th anniversary. There was something for everyone in our family at the house. We had teenagers and small children and we enjoyed the pool, outdoor games, and games in the basement. There was plenty of space and very close to the beach and town of south haven. The house was so clean and had many high end finishes. Highly recommend this house!

Wonderful Family Vacation Getaway

We couldn’t have been more happy with the house we picked! The pictures are very accurate. The house is beautiful! It was like being at an ocean vacation home, without the crazy long drive. The pool and backyard oasis were wonderful! We had one beginning of the year issue with the pool, but it was resolved quickly. Deanna was wonderful to work with! If we had any problems she quickly responded to my messages through the Vrbo app and was super friendly. We are already looking at when we can bring our whole family back again. Thank you for the wonderful family vacation memories!!

Fun house

House was great, kids and adults loved the chess board in back and games in the basement. I did feel like there were a lot of fees on top of the cleaning fee if things were not done. I understand cleaning up after yourself but additional fees on top of cleaning fee just seemed silly.

Perfect rental for all!

Family vacation to celebrate our Parent's 50th wedding anniversary. First time in 10 years we have all been under the same roof for a full week! It was the perfect rental to accommodate everyone from age 4 to age 73. Everyone had their own space/room and bathroom and endless options for entertainment at the house the entire time. From the pool and all the different activities in the backyard to the basement fun, which we hardly used since it was so nice out. Plus walking distance to the beach which we enjoyed every single day. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone with a large family looking to make some memories. Owners were great and attended to our needs if there were any.

Nice house. I would recommend an area rug in the main living area to help with all the echoes. Guest bed mattresses very hard and the TV remote did not work in the 1st bedroom. Backyard very nice, hard to keep sand from volleyball court out of the pool.

Perfect Spot for a Family Get Together!

We just completed a one week stay at this property and thoroughly enjoyed it! We were a group of thirteen with 7 adults five children (3,6,8,10 and 13) and a baby! The kids LOVED it! The pool was the focus, but they also spent a significant amount of time in the well equipped basement. The layout of the house was perfect for our group and the basement separation enabled the adults to enjoy time together while the kids watched movies or played games. A well stocked kitchen and a second refrigerator in the garage were definitely appreciated. The gas range and an excellent set of knives were a nice surprise for a group of foodies! The covered outdoor space with a television and an adjacent fire pit were also highlights. Great location that was easy to get to. We would definitely book here again!

Perfect place, until it wasn’t

House was beautiful and a great spot for a family gathering with multiple generations. Unfortunately, ended on a sour note with a poor interaction with the owner and an un-swimmable pool. Instead of concern for the imbalance of chemicals of his pool causing intense rashes, he accused us of unauthorized use of the pool heater. He was dismissive, condescending and rude. If you’re local you may note that the weather for the week of June 22 reached into the mid 90s and the heater was not on at any point as verified by the pool/maintenance person who eventually helped figure out the acidic water caused by no alkalinity. Be kind and maybe choose a different place to stay in beautiful South Haven!

Great location. Great amenities.

We really enjoyed the private beach access. It's a shared private path for the local neighborhood. There were plenty of amenities to keep the whole family occupied. Minor tip for guests: Bring your own toilet paper. The toilet paper there is what you would find at an office park (Scott), but this was not a big issue, particularly given the abundance of amenities and high quality appliances. We were also really impressed with the bathrooms. Every bathroom -- even the hall bathroom had a fantastic shower. We ran into a few issues (e.g. pool not heated, miscommunication with the cleaning company to clean the space), but the owner was responsive and quickly addressed these issues. Overall, this is a fantastic property.

Awesome!

This house just shines from the inside to the outside. It was MORE than perfect for our family. Our adult children came with their spouses and kids and stayed and played and played and played. Everyone loved it. My husband and I started a tradition two years ago just so we could have intentional time all together...we pay for the place and the "kids and spouses" provide the meals. Our "children" are spread all over and we only have once a year to all be together. That's not enough for their Dad and me! Life goes too fast and is so busy! This place fit.the.bill.. We had lots of laughs and memories were made. Wish we could do it again here but the price for the future got in the way.

Plenty of room

This property is very spacious & beautiful. Plenty of room for all of us. For the most part it was clean however, there was a "chew pouch" or whatever it's called, stuck to a baseboard down by the poker table that my son saw, the ceiling fans have a ton of dust hanging off of them in the living room the dishwasher absolutely stinks - not sure what's going on there but wow. I'm not sure the pool was cleaned before we got there but I did text the owner & asked him about having it cleaned. He was very prompt at answering & getting someone there to do it. Overall we enjoyed our stay but I think for the price, a renter should be able to know that the place is thoroughly clean & ready for their stay.

Awesome house and location!

We all loved our stay! Beautiful, clean house! Pool was great to have with kids! It was a little chilly, but to heat it cost $200.00. The basement was awesome with the different things to do! There was plenty of stuff in the kitchen to cook with. There was plenty of towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pods! A high chair would have been nice, just because my daughter forgot hers.😊 The location was really nice! Not far to walk to the beach or you could drive down to the public beach. We did both. The lock on the front door was difficult to use. Everything else was great! The owner got back to me quickly when I had any questions. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us!😁 Everyone loved it so much that they want to come back for our family vacation next year, but the price went up and you have to stay longer than we can😔

Michigan Vacation

We enjoyed our family time together but the weather was a disappointment. Nothing the homeowner could do have that so we did spend more time then we intended at the house, Everything these was great! We never heard anything from the property manager so I couldn't give a 5 star rate but before communication was okay

My husband is a general contractor and we designed and built our South Haven retreat together. We put a lot of thought and love in this property with the thought that we would be building endless memories in South Haven with our children and future generations to come.

What our family loves most about this home is the 5-minute walk to Lake Michigan that brings you to private beach that our children absolutely love. And the favorite part about this beach, are the sunsets. We walk every night 15 minutes before sunset to catch a glimpse of this spectacular sight...
