You'll be about a half-block from the beach, and when you're not there soaking up the sunshine, it's always within sight from your deck. Stroll the seven miles of flour-soft sand or head to Pine Avenue and take in the local art culture. Bean Point Beach is a great place to snap some photos, and Rod and Reel Pier and Restaurant is a short walk from your front door. There's room for three cars to park in the driveway, but you haven't truly experienced Anna Maria Island until you've used the free trolley to get around!

THINGS TO KNOW
Pool heat is included and maintained at 80°F. Additional pool heat to 85°F is available upon request for $32 per day plus tax. A 48-hour notice is required. Heat may not be available if temperatures drop below 65 degrees.
We will not be accepting payments for pool heat for the months of May through October.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The location was wonderful, great walking distance into town yet perfect for beaches and sunsets. The home was spacious and met our expectations. However, the washer would not work, there was mold in the grout of the shower area and the pool wasn’t kept to the promised temp and made it fairly unusable. We would book here again, but hope improvements were made.

Sundance Cottage

This is such a cute beach cottage! We loved the location as well, a short walk to the beach across the street. I wish they put hand soap in the bathrooms, but other than that it was well stocked for a 3 night stay. I definitely recommend this property.

Love this rental!

Love this rental! Interior was clean and ready to go when we arrived. Plenty of space for 6 of us. Super close to the beach. Had beach chairs and umbrellas available. Had an amazing trip. Will definitely stay there again.

Great house and location

This was our second year spending our girls' weekend beach trip at this house and we loved it! Right across from the beach, a great pool with sun and shade, and plenty of room inside for 6 of us to hang out and talk while we cooked, ate, and relaxed for 3 days.

Wonderful home for family

We loved our stay. Everything was perfect. We have 3 kids ages 3-7 and the layout and location was excellent. I also appreciate how clean it was when we arrived. Kitchen is very well stocked and we did most meals at the home. The walk to beach is just across the street. Highly recommend!

Lovely house in perfect location!!!

Sundance Cottage is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The garage has beach equipment. The closets are large enough to store your belongings and suitcases. It’s a short walk to the most beautiful beach in the world!! This stretch of the beach is not crowded.

We really enjoyed our stay. Had a few minor issues and was somewhat difficult in reaching vacasa in a timely manner. They had someone out to fix the issues next day. I would’ve preferred sooner but still a decent response.

Great location, great property overall. Pool was awesome. Issues with dryer when tried to launder towels (wouldn’t dry). Ongoing issues with WiFi which made it hard to watch tv or work when husband I had to. Overall would stay there again

Great Location - Small Upgrades Needed

The location of this property is great; right across the street from beach access. Outdoor shower to rinse off. Great covered parking. This house just needs some minor updates; fridge wasn't working, a/c couldn't keep up, toilets extremely hard to flush, pool was closed unexpectedly, no extras as indicated in email (garbage bags, toilet paper, laundry detergent). It wouldn't take much to really bring this property from good to GREAT!

Few issues- late check in- cleaning not done til 4:50. Only one roll of toilet paper- no shampoo or soap as stated in description. Also grill ran out of gas after one use. Spent a lot of money and would not expect to deal with those few issues.

Overall Great Stay with Hidden Problems

Pros: This house had everything we needed as far as space and was beautifully decorated. It looked like the decor had been refreshed recently. Proximity to the beach was great, just a short walk across the street. The open concept floor plan with all bedrooms on the same floor was very convenient. Cons: 1. Stairs railing was not secure. Dangerous for anyone needing support going up and down the stairs. When I mentioned this to the property manager she didn’t act like this was a serious concern or that it would be fixed before the next family checked in. 2. Bugs! On the surface things were clean, but on the second day we found dozens of small bugs in the dining room curtains and on the floor next to the dining room table. Looking closer we realized these were termites. We found them on the window sills and by the kitchen sink. On the morning we checked out there were bugs and wings in the bathroom sink when I went to brush my teeth. The property manager argued with me about the bugs. She said their exterminator said they were flying gnats. Every person in our party agreed 100% that they were termites. Regardless, it was gross and very evident that the house was not thoroughly cleaned. 3. The house, front door and deck with sitting areas all face a busy street. Cars playing loud music, work trucks, etc drove by all day long. Very noisy. We received a refund of $350 for inconvenience of the bugs, but I didn’t feel like there was any urgency to fix the stairs.

Poor Property Management - Termite Nest in Bedroom

This was our fourth annual trip to Anna Marie island with our family. We booked an expensive four night stay with this property to celebrate an anniversary and birthday. The home is located at an ideal location, but the accommodations were unacceptably poor. Our daughter slept in the second master bedroom the first night, but reported a bunch of dirt in her sheets. Upon inspection, it was evident that the dirt was coming from a mound, almost like an ant pile that had amassed at the top of the window frame above the bed. I called Vacasa to address it. They sent over a housekeeper and he confirmed it was a termite mound. So upon learning that my daughter had slept in the debris from a termite mound in our expensive vacation rental, I told the housekeeper to have the manager call me immediately, and that I wanted to check out early. The housekeeper recommended that I just pull the bed frame away from the window sill so that the termite mound debris would not land on the bed anymore. The manager never called. Through the remainder of our stay I contacted Vacasa multiple times over the phone, through text, and through the VRBO app. None of the 6 people I spoke to could get the local property manager to contact me. The VRBO help desk was unhelpful. We cut our losses and checked out a day early. I continued to call Vacasa to seek reimbursement for this poor experience. They had a multiple chances to remedy the situation. They eventually reimbursed me 5% of the total cost.

Amazing beach access

Recently enjoyed a four day stay here with family. We loved the location close to the beaches and the comfortable living spaces, including the amazing deck. We found the property and pool inviting and comfortable. The beach cart was a big help with beach gear. I have listed out the Pros/cons that we found during our stay. Overall we did enjoy the property but did feel that our review would be incomplete without mentioning a few items that impacted our stay, that result in the 3-star overall rating and recommendations for returning. Upon arrival we did notice a mildew odor in the property, rains during the week revealed drainage issues that could be the source. Also as the week went on we were affected by kitchen ants. We keep a very clean kitchen, no food or dirty dishes were left out and counters wiped frequently, however by the end of the stay combating the ants was very challenging and annoying. We were only left with two DW packets, so keeping a clean kitchen was more difficult as the week went on. The other issue was with the HVAC which was extremely loud kicking on and off - and it did not really keep the house at 75 degrees. We did not get restful nights sleep because of the noise. PROS: -beach access -location to Bean Point -BBQ grill availability -large kitchen, well supplied with dishes and pots/pans -nice modern bathrooms -clean fresh towels for bath and beach -cart for beach supplies was very useful -beach umbrella and toys was nice to have -great covered parking -beautiful natural landscape -clean useful pool -amazing deck with great seating -comfy living room seating -fun basket of games to play CONS: -mildew odor in the house, concerned about air quality -mildew smell was on clean, dry clothes when we got home -could be fixed by improving drainage (have pictures) -should be checked for water damage or possible mold -our kids noticed the air quality and did not want to be inside because of the odor made them feel unwell -ants in kitchen/dining -limited cleaning supplies for DW or dishes, one DW packet per day would be nice -extremely loud HVAC -AC struggled to keep temp at 75 degrees -TV in awkward location -pool disconnected from rest of living spaces Overall we did enjoy our stay and this is a great location for a rental property. If the mildew odor, HVAC, and ants were remedied we WOULD consider returning to this property.

Perfect Family set up!

This was such a great location and family friendly set up! Our family of 5 had plenty of space and room to play games and make memories. Easy walk to pine street for food and a quick across the street walk to the beach!!

My wife and our friends had a enjoyable stay at the Sundance Cottage for 4 days. Excellent location across the street from the beach. The property was impeccable with many amenities. We enjoyed sunsets from the front porch. The heated pool was great too! Went to Sandbar for a sunset dinner. Only downside was the code we where give for the door did not work. The rental agent gave us the lock box code to get the key for the front door. Also we had to get all the leaves out of the pool from Tropical storm Nicole. We called and left a message with rental agency but nnever received a reply. Overall great experience and would recommend to our friends.
