The lodge was beautiful! We had two families staying for a wedding and the lodge was perfect for us. We have a few questions and the manager of the property was quick at responding. Property is tucked back in the woods which we absolutely loved!
This a very nice cabin/lodge. It has lots of space and eoom for lots of people and the rooms are big and have nice a/c units to cool them. If you have lots of people you have to be aware of your water usage sense you are up in the mountains and the well does not produce alot of water. They have a large holding tank so it is all good as long as you are aware and respect your water usage. As for most every rental there are signs of some use, which is expected. I would defendantly stay here again and would tell anyone else to stay here. It is a peaceful and beautiful location.
This was perfect for our 3 family group who was in Montana to visit Glacier. This house is gorgeous, has a bathroom for every bedroom and lots of space. We happened to be in town the week of a heat wave and 95 degree temps. There is NO AC. It was a bit warm.
There were several small issues that I addressed with the property manager (mainly maintenance issues and kitchen needs) and that keeps me from giving a 5 star review. But we would stay here again. We had an amazing week even with the heat.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!
This place was awesome. 6 couples stayed- so much room and beautiful overall, comfortable beds, everyone slept great. We are game players so we used all the game tables downstairs in the evenings. The best part was that we saw some type of wildlife every time we drove down the driveway. According to the locals, only 10% of visitors see a bear during their vacation. We saw a young bear several times in the next door neighbor's yard. Medium size cub that we would watch from our car - he would just look over at us when we pulled up to video or take pics but would run away if we tried to get out of the car. This was definitely the highlight of our trip. We saw turkeys, deer, small animals - way more than we were able to see in Glacier park. Georgeous sunset right off the back porch. Everyone kept thanking me for finding this place.
Five families stayed here for 4 nights. The house is huge, and has a great layout for large groups. We loved the game room (especially ping pong) and appreciated the large pantry. It's nice to have a place to store coolers and dry food, versus just filling up the counters. The 5 suites with en suite bathrooms were just right - no sharing a bathroom with other adults. The kids loved the bunk room. Cons --the house was not clean when we arrived. The trash cans in the garage were all completely full, and the kitchen didn't appear to have been cleaned recently. Some of the bedding was definitely not clean. The whole place seemed a bit neglected, like it wasn't freshened for spring, inside or out. Pros -- there was a major problem with the water supply, and Todd (prop mgr) was very responsive and handled it immediately. If I knew a professional cleaning crew had gone through it, and that someone had tended to the outside (cleaning spiderwebs from windows, and mowing down the greenery surrounding the house) then I would happily stay there again.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
Needs deep cleaning and fix of broken items
This could be a beautiful home except for the lack of cleanliness.
Double oven in kitchen looks to have never been cleaned. Grease build up
Downdraft vent doesn't work guessing because of grease build up
Broken utensils (can opener, metal utensils without proper handles etc)
Kitchen faucet loose and difficult to turn off
1 microwave oven did not work & the other quit working
Torn pillows on beds with no replacements
MBrm had lights out, dirty sheets (totally unacceptable), candy in dresser drawer left by previous guests.
Towels smelled like they had sat wet for a time and then just dried. Bad smell
Hot water breaker tripped every day causing inconvenience for our family. (Dillan saved us)
Codes given for garage doors weren't correct.
Guessing owner has not have been to property lately to see these problems. Sad.
I had contacted owner through VRBO email and did not hear from owner until I contacted VRBO directly. This was day before check in.
As I stated, this could be a beautiful home if not for the lack of a thorough cleaning and broken items
We had an incredible time at eh Big Cedar Lodge! It was spacious with room for everyone. Our host was great at communicating throughout the stay and leading up to it. We would definitely stay there again!
No a/c in the main living and with 98 degree weather it was hot! All bedrooms had a/c and the basement was cool. We saw a doe with twins everyday and wild turkeys right by the cabin. Flathead Lake and Glacier were beautiful.
Our group of 14 had a great stay here. We all had plenty of room and the kids really enjoyed their own area downstairs with all the games and bunk beds. Beds were all comfy and so nice to have private bathrooms. Clean and nice property!
The property is absolutely amazing! It is close enough to town for amenities but far out enough to enjoy nature along with peace and quiet. We had the pleasure of seeing a black bear and plenty of deer on the property. The temperatures were a bit high but it was not an issue in the house. The entertainment area in the basement stayed very cool and had plenty of room for our group of 12 to enjoy the games.
The location was perfect for our needs. The house is big and beautiful, some areas need some upkeep but overall we enjoyed our stay and would come again.
This weekend was for my wife's birthday. The home was very large and had many great places to gather. Whether you wanted to relax by the massive fireplace or play various games in the basement. The home is close enough to shopping but far enough that you would never know it was there. I look forward to staying here again in the summer to experience whatelse the area has to offer.
We used this property for a work retreat for our management group of 7. It worked perfectly and the location is gorgeous. Highly recommend. We will come back.
We loved our stay. So much room for the 11 of us. Kitchen well stocked and laid out. Dining on the patio, ping pong, sauna, large table for puzzle, huge windows, super comfortable beds, quiet surroundings. I want to come back.
We stayed with our 4 grown children, son/daughter in-laws and grandkids 6mos. - 9yrs. It was a perfect layout for all off us. We had some fierce ping pong tournaments. Great family meals. Bigfork was our favorite town in NW Montana. The Monday night farmers market was fun. Access to Flathead Lake was 10-15 minutes. It was an easy drive to the west entrance to GNP - 50 minutes. If we come back with the full squad we'll definitely rent this lodge again - it was perfect for us. The owners were very responsive and great to rent from.
We rented this house for a family reunion. It’s great for a big gathering. Beautiful house in a great location. There is no AC however and it was unbearably hot this week. It is an unusual heat wave here but the house was so hot. Even with the 2 small portable ac units they had and all the fans going. We even bought more fans and we still couldn’t get it to cool down. Also there were no garbage cans so we just had to pile all the garbage in bags in the very hot garage and it got super stinky.
We were in town for a wedding in the park. The house was great as all had their own bathroom. The only downside was that their was only one TV for that many people..
The house exceeded our expectations. It was clean, well appointed and had everything you would need. We stayed the entire month of August. The owners and property manager could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The first week we were there Montana had hit record high temperatures. The house does not have a/c. I texted the owner and within hours he had delivered 3 commercial fans. It was perfect. Our family came throughout our stay and giving the tour of the house was fun each time. The home sits back along the forest and was 2 miles off the main road. Being a city girl I thought at first this would be a problem. I could not have been happier. It is 15 minutes from town and 5 minutes to the closest river access. Perfect location if you don't mind peace and quiet and beautiful views of the mountains and trees. We couldn't have been any happier and would recommend this home or any other home the Kellers may have. 5 Star rating for a 5 Star property.
You won't be disappointed !
