We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. The location on the river provided wonderful relaxing time to sit and relax by the water. The cabin was very comfortable and was all one could ask for. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone
What a wonderful stay. So many critters and wildlife to watch from the back deck or living room. We kayaked right from the dock, and enjoyed the quiet relaxing sounds of the Au Sable. Everything was perfect. Can’t wait to stay here again!
The cabin and property was as advertised. Very authentic up north cabin with everything we needed. Well stocked. It was quiet and peaceful with great view of the river and nature, but still close to town for any supplies needed.
Our stay was amazing. The kayaks and canoe were a great asset. The river was beautiful and peaceful. The location was suitable to many attractions such as state parks and lakes. The cabin had everything we needed to make it like home. The owner was friendly and easy to communicate with. We would definitely rent this property again.
What can I say. The property is beautiful. The location exquisite. The owners were very nice and helpful. Overall, a great vacation spot. Thank you!

My sisters and I went to Roscommon for a baby shower. The cabin on AuSable River was cute and assessible to Roscommon. We kayaked the river and met others doing the same thing. Fun trip!
The cabin was an ideal rental for my family of three, in a very nice location- really close to town and also close to rivers and parks. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed. We happily used the canoe and kayaks, fished off the landing, grilled steaks and burgers, and enjoyed the wildlife (birds and a cheeky little chipmunk). Day trips to the Platte River (tubing), Hartwick Pines, and a longer canoe trip through the Mason Tract. Thank you Jeff!
Myself, husband, 2 daughters and 2 of our friends stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. It was absolutely perfect for our group. It is a smaller cabin, but very open and spacious. It had everything that we needed. We spent most of our time on the back deck overlooking the river. Absolutely beautiful!! We will definitely be staying again!!
This was my best rental experience to date. Jeff was very friendly, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. The cabin is so cozy and it was just the right mix of rustic and homey, with a good up to date kitchen and bathroom. The cabin is stocked very well with decent cookware, seasonings, dish soap, towels, etc. and the bedding was very comfortable and clean. The property is well maintained, and the proximity to the peaceful river can't be beat. The location was perfect--very close to I-75, so it was easy to visit Hartwick Pines, Higgins Lake, and Grayling. I don't usually repeat my stay at rentals, but my friend and I are already planning another trip up here because we loved it so much.
This is a very nice cabin on a beautiful, peaceful river, with a deck by the house and bench by the dock overlooking it. I found the house immaculate and very well-equipped (save for a washer/dryer), including everything you would want in the kitchen, a gas grill, two kayaks, a canoe, and fly tying bench for the fly fisher. I came to fish, and Jeff gave me lots of great advice on fishing the Au Sable. The neighbors next door were also very nice and welcoming. I will come back at my first opportunity.

Glad you enjoyed your stay, with the laundry mat a mile away it makes no sense for us to push extra water into our septic field to install a washer and dryer.
The property was perfect for my family. Seven of us stayed in the cabin and it was never crowded. We enjoyed the kayaks and canoe and had an excellent bbq.

Great River Access Cabin
Easy access to the Au Sable and plenty of watercraft for four people if you aren't afraid of paddling up and down stream. If paddling up and downstream isn't your thing, or if you don't have access to transport the canoe/kayaks back, there are numerous liveries nearby. The cabin is in close proximity to a grocery store and the Roscommon Zoo.
It can get really warm in there if it is a summer visit, so make sure you have plenty of fans available as not many windows in the main sitting area can be opened.

Cute cabin but so hot without ac.
The cabin is so cute with a great view of the river. The beds were comfy and plenty of towels and linens and well equipped kitchen. Our main problem was the lack of air and circulation of air. When we checked in the cabin was 88 degrees and I thought the ac was broken but found out there was no ac and that was never in the description. We stayed 3 nights and the house was between 85-90 inside at all times. We were uncomfortable inside the whole time we were there:( would not recommend staying here in the hot summer months. But other than that was a nice place.

We have added two window air conditioners. One in the loft & one next to the kitchen table to help with those hot days.

Cabin on the AuSable
Fantastic location, very comfortable and excellent experience.
Married 28 + years with 3 adult kids, one cat & one dog. I am an engineer, my wife has a massage business.
Why they chose this property
I love to fly fish and bird hunt, my wife loves to bird watch & kayak during the warm months and cross country ski during the winter.
What makes this property unique
A great location easy to drive to, just 3 miles off I-75. A cup of coffee with the view of the river is a great way to start your day. The knotty Pine interior is warm and inviting.
