A few reviews from Airbnb: This is the most beautiful, stylish, gorgeously decorated and spacious apartment. Honestly you'd struggle to find a nicer place to stay anywhere. The bedrooms are HUGE and all the artwork is just lovely. Really comfortable, spotlessly clean and all in all just a great place to stay! Misti and Will are wonderful hosts and were so friendly and helpful - they clearly love their town and their enthusiasm and dedication to its revival and regeneration is a true inspiration. The world needs more people like this. Helena itself is a real delight - like a time capsule. Aside from things being closed on a Monday! The cultural centre is amazing - we popped there for a quick look and ended up spending a couple of hours. Misti and Will have great local knowledge and recommendations and that made our stay even nicer. We were only here one night but honestly wish we had stayed longer. Our boys loved the little playroom and the musical instruments and it was so thoughtful to provide them a ball to play in the garden and offer board games for them. This is definitely one of the best Airbnb you'll ever stay in and I highly highly recommend it. -Tamsin, Manchester, United Kingdom
This was such a great place to stay, and for a great price! Myself and 5 other comfortably stayed her during the weekend while visiting the casinos. Misti and Will are very sweet and kind people - the hospitality was exceptional! Two thumbs up! 👍🏾👍🏾 - Michael, Nashville, TN
Communication with Misti was seamless and pleasant leading up to my visit. Upon my arrival, she greeted me with kindness and helpful advice for things to do around the neighborhood and at the local King Biscuit Blues Festival. Historic Helena has many beautiful and interesting sights including Misti and Will's beautiful home built in 1910. local businesses new and old, the Mississippi River levee walk, and Civil War battlegrounds and cemeteries. Misty and will were generous hosts, offering us a delicious homemade breakfast each day we stayed in their clean, comfortable, beautifully-kept home. They were also lovely to talk to and a wealth of knowledge on Helena and the region. My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Helena largely because of the generosity offered by Misti and Will. We look forward to returning in in the near future! - Cate, NYC, NY

Coziest and sweetest apartment ever!
We were so happy to find this apartment for our road trip and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Mitsi and Will are great hosts and we are thankful that we got to meet them.
The apartment is way bigger than it looks, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Everything is super clean, there were maps of the city and even toys for the kids. We couldn't have asked for more and will come back for sure!

What a sweet review Maika. Thank you. It was wonderful meeting you and your family and I am so happy that you got to take some time to play at Freeman Playground!
Thank you for leaving the apartment so tidy! You were wonderful guests!
Best ever VRBO ! Truly enjoyed our stay & hosts for BluesFest
This is a very spacious 2 BR upstairs apartment - nicely furnished and immaculately clean. Misti was our best-ever VRBO host - she could not have been any more accommodating and helpful. Every morning she made a wonderful breakfast (from scratch) for us and our fellow guests so we got to meet them and discuss daily plans, etc.
We lucked into this at the last minute -- We would most-highly recommend this stay to all future travelers. Helena is a small delta town with so much history and personality.

Thank you for the very sweet review. Brad, Brenna and their friends were wonderful guests! We loved hosting them and talking over breakfast during the KBBF. Brenna even gifted us a beautiful, giant crystal in our backyard that they dug up themselves in Hot Springs, AR. So fun! They left the apartment very tidy and even took all of the sheet off the beds for me. So nice! Wonderful couple!
We stayed in Helena 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Misti. She was very helpful in orienting us and giving us a bit of Helena’s history, giving advice about places to eat in Memphis and things to do and see in Helena. The apartment is as pictured and we loved having a glass of wine on the deck after a day of touring. The beds were comfortable, linens very nice and the kitchen well stocked to include K-cups, cream/sugar for coffee, olive oil and a few spices. We did not do any cooking, but if you wanted to, she has most everything you’d need to include a slo-cooker. Our only suggestion was to add a bit more light in the bathroom and maybe a small coffee table in front of the sofa. We would definitely go back.

It was so wonderful to meet you guys! I have already put a small table next to the couch and I’m working on additional lighting in the kitchen and bathroom. Thank you for your feedback. I hope you had safe travels back home.
The is warm and welcoming apartment totally exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't do it justice. The unit was spacious, yet comforting and cozy. Our family of four (including a tween and teenager) was able to really spread out and be in our own spaces. The owners were very thoughtful with literature available to read, kitchen and bathroom amenities, fluffy towels, and quality bedding. All of us slept really well in super-comfortable beds. Plenty of places to charge our computers, phones, watches, earbuds, etc. In-unit laundry is always a plus. There's history all over the unit, well-placed and tastefully designed. I wish we could have stayed longer to soak it all in. Lastly, communication with the owner was easy and stress free. This is a true gem!

Such a kind review Robin. Thank you. I'm so happy that you enjoyed your stay. I hope you can come back again soon.
I was exited about my reunion but not about figuring out where to stay. I found this property and booked it with some concern. The first thing that impressed me was the open communication with the owner. I msgd the owner I would be late arriving and it may be after 10pm. The owner msgd me and let me know the porch lights would be on as well as the inside lights in the kitchen. .I was impressed with the kind for-thought! The place was just as described-clean, comfortable, and no amenities left out. We had a great stay in a great place, great location for us. I would recommend this property as top notch!

Comfy, Cozy, Charming
A very welcoming and comfortable accommodation for the purposes of our group. We were commuting to Clarksdale everyday for festival activities. The 30 minute drive was effortless. The apartment was more than adequate for preparing meals, telling stories around the country kitchen table or outside deck (some additional seating out there might be nice:-). Gracious and helpful hosts. A lucky find for us!

Great place to stay with wonderful hosts!
Stayed at Will and Misti’s place during the King Biscuit Blues Festival. Had a wonderful time both at the festival and at their rental. The upstairs apartment was very clean and comfortable. Misti helped us out with recommendations and served yummy breakfasts. I am happy to have crossed paths with Will and Misti and hope to return again.

About the host
Hosted by Misti Staley
Misti is originally from Atlanta. Will is originally from Little Rock. We have both lived in a few different places and we most recently moved from Brooklyn, NY to Historic Helena, Arkansas. Home of the Blues! There are many music festivals throughout the year highlighting not only blues music but also rockabilly, gospel, jazz, and more. The Warfield Concert Series brings well known ballets, operas, and musicals to this small delta town all to be enjoyed at no cost!
What brought us to Helena? Will runs Thrive- A non-profit whos mission is to create jobs and increase the quality of life in rural America through design. Thrive runs the Phillips County Entrepreneur Center, helping others start small businesses through business plan writing, website design, logo design, etc. They also put on the Cherry Street Fair portion of Helena Second Saturdays- A monthly music and arts festival on Cherry St. from April-Sep.
Misti is an artist as well. Painting commissioned portraits, murals, teaching art classes to children and adults, and running Gossamery Finishes; a faux finishing business.
We both enjoy traveling, we actually met in Paris while traveling through Europe. We enjoy gardening, running, and biking.
As hosts we are always here to help and during the King Biscuit Blues Festival get ready for a big breakfast in the dinning room while talking with other guests! As guests we love to find out about where you live and the culture of your area.
Why they chose this property
Will and Misti are available and easy to reach at all times of day during your stay. A map of Helena will be provided and we'll give you lots of activity tips!
What makes this property unique
Our dog Clara is very sweet. She is 10ish years old; we adopted her from the Humane Society of the Delta when she was 2 or 3. She is never in the upstairs apartment; however if you need some doggie loving time she will be happy to give some cuddles.
