This was a great place to stay! Plenty of room for my family and 2 bathrooms (plus outdoor shower) was a plus! Great location. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Very relaxing and enjoyed all the comforts of home
Cozy home feeling away from home and in a great location.
Good place to stay, super quick drive to Provincetown, campground beach or coastguard beach. Technically walkable to nearby restaurants, cafes and ice cream. Clean, good communication.
We were very comfortable. Kitchen a little tight due to entrance door.

Here is some additional information about the kitchen and entrance door. Part of the kitchen is like a galley kitchen and is somewhat narrow. The door, however, does not block any of the appliances, such as the range or the refrigerator. There is additional access to the cottage through the front door. It does not open into the kitchen.
This is a great cozy place in a great location. We stayed for a biking vacation; it was well situated to rent bikes and hop on the CC bike trail. The porch is lovely to eat meals and hang out on, and the dining table inside is spacious. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups and utensils, but the I would plan on cooking simpler meals as the stove and oven are finnicky.
I stayed here with my parents and my kids. We had a wonderful time. It was a really great location…close to rt 6,restaurants, the wellfleet drive-in, and a few beaches. The property manager was responsive to requests. We would definitely return!
This is a fantastic spot in Eastham. Close to the beach, great food and ice-cream! Darren is a great host and was very quick to respond to questions. The house is comfortable and equipped with all you need for a great vacation on the Cape! Thank you!

We keep the Cottage equipped for us to use. And so it is fully equipped for you to use as well!
This home was perfect for our family. We spent endless days adventuring around the Cape, from trips to Provincetown to the Freedom Trail in Boston. Rainy days were spent in the home completing puzzles, playing games, and watching old movies that we picked up at the thrift store around the corner. We enjoyed days walking to either Campground Beach (with a stop at The Landing!) or hikes along the Rail Trail. We ended most our days with a walk over to Nauset ice cream and evenings on the deck. (Although we had a memorable evening around a bonfire in the beach!) The neighborhood is so peaceful. We would love to come back and highly recommend this to place to all.
Enough room for all of us - dining benches are a little hard on the derrière but we grabbed the outside chairs for relief. Beds were all comfortable- heat works well - there is road noise even with the windows closed but just car noise - no trucks or anything. Favorite parts of the vacation: sunsets at Coastguard Beach and Hole In One blueberry scones.

Perfect for two families
We had a great time, it was our first time staying in Eastham. It was very private considering it's proximity to other cottages. If I had to pick a nit, it's a bit close to route 6. But that also made getting around easy. The Eastham beaches are fantastic, the kids loved them.

William has described exactly what is unique about our cottage. It is very private, and yet convenient to many things. Not only is getting around easy, but within walking distance there are restaurants (including lobster), two ice cream shops, places for breakfast, and a bike rental. The bike trail is only 1/4 mile away. Beaches are 1 or 3 miles and easily reached on bike. Although it is close to Route 6, you are separated from it by tall fences, bushes, and trees. You will not see headlights. While out on the deck, you will occasionally hear the traffic. But with the beauty of the location and the privacy, that will quickly fade away. Inside, you will never hear the traffic. Please come and enjoy our cottage and the Eastham beaches.
we had a nice time. location was close to everything we like to get to, I'm not used to having to bring my own bedding, not everyone has a set of every size mattress in their home stores. I would have liked that to have been provided. price was right, all in all a good value. I'd go back again.:)
We enjoyed our stay very much. There were 8 of us in total. It was great having two full bathrooms downstairs, each one right next to one of the downstairs bedrooms. One of the bathrooms also had a double sink which was very convenient. We also took advantage of the outdoor shower every day when we came back from the beach.
We were able to play board games in the evenings in the living room on the coffee table and on the dining table. We loved the location as it was close to Nauset Light Beach which is one of our favorites. And then also super close to Campground Beach and a number of other bay side beaches.
The property was clean and very conveniently located. Most of the time, it was very quiet. We had a lot of rain during our week, and an entry rug would have been handy. The downstairs bedrooms got a bit stuffy at night if the doors were closed, and with some night owls in the living room, closing the doors was necessary. With both bathrooms downstairs, moving upstairs was not an attractive option. A window fan that was provided got us through just fine. We only had one hot day during our stay, but would anticipate this could be an issue during a warm week. Kitchen was well stocked with any utensils we could want, dishwasher was nice. Loved the private deck!

We appreciate the feedback. Some further explanation on cooling:
The main room downstairs has two window air conditioners and they serve the entire downstairs. With the doors open, the two downstairs bedrooms get cooling from the main room with their doors open. Generally, during the warm parts of the day, the bedrooms aren't used. On Cape Cod, the evenings and nights are rarely hot enough to require air conditioning. One downstairs bedroom has a window fan and the master bedroom has a ceiling fan.
This renter noted only one hot day during the first week in July and this is often the "warm week" (the hottest week of the year) and on that day they were "just fine" with the window fan.
The windows were all replaced recently and are easy to open and close for ventilation.
There are window air conditioners in each of the upstairs bedrooms. These are the only two upstairs rooms, meaning that the entire upstairs has air conditioning.
This was a great getaway after working from home (in Raleigh, NC) since March 2020. We stayed from 10/17/20 - 11/15/20. I used the upstairs "bunkbed room" as an office, where I worked M-Th (connected to the interent and my work VPN with no issues while working, including participating in video conference calls), and I took Fridays off. I also took the whole last week there off, when my sister and her husband joined us for that week. My only complaint related to having to work there was about the chair I had to use as a desk chair. Sitting on it 8-10 hours a day, 4 days a week, it became very uncomfortable. I imagine if you were there for just a week, it wouldn't be bad. The owners were very nice and responsive!

We are looking into providing a more traditional office chair, for those working remotely!
We spent the week enjoying walks on the beach, sunning, video games, several cycling expeditions, and a role playing game that spanned three nights. Great weather, several sunsets at First Encounter, returned after midnight for meteor showers but less luck there. Mainly rained only at night and early morning. Also enjoyed wine tasting in Truro. A week really wasn’t enough but it was very relaxing.
The house had no basics like salt, pepper, flour, sugar, but it had plenty of cooking equipment and dishes. Lots of glasses. Air conditioning and ceiling fans worked great. Didn’t try the laundry. We found it pretty easy to keep sand out by taking off shoes on porch and rinsing off, but we’ve had nicer outdoor shower facilities. No place to hang a towel, for example. So we only used the outdoor shower to rinse off feet and swim suits, and it was good at that.
Pleased to find plenty of outlets and USB charging ports and the Wifi was excellent.
Not much lawn area. I’m glad we didn’t bring our bocce set, for example. But great location for bike trails and beaches so we were out a lot.

Thanks to COVID-19, we have not been providing the consumables like salt and pepper. Great feedback on the shower. I will look into towel rack, hooks for clothes, and shelf for soap and shampoo. There are a couple of "common area" with grass where a bocce game could be set up. If future travelers are interested in that, let me know!
We rented this cottage for our first trip to the Cape.
The cottage was lovely. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and relax.
The location was perfect. We were a short drive to beaches.
The only *minor* complaint is the bed in one of the downstairs bedrooms is very squeaky. Rolling over woke me up a few times.
If we come back to the Cape we'd consider renting this place again.
My Brother and his daughter , her husband and 3 kids . The rental was perfect for us.
Loved the rental. It hada perfect set up . My brother is blind and I am disabled with psoriatic arthritis. The 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms on the first floor was perfect for him and I. The others went out exploring the area and found so much to see and do. I would like to rent it next year !!!

Richard's comment agrees with so many others that we have received. Our cottage is well suited to multi-generational family gatherings.
We have several renters that return year after year.
Please come back again.
This was our first trip to Cape Cod. Looking on the map, we chose this location so we could access the bike trail and beaches easily. We expected that there may be traffic noise or maybe a crowded condo feel since the map shows nearby buildings and a highway. We were pleasantly surprised. Everything we needed was within walking distance, yet we felt secluded from everything. In 5 weeks, I didn’t see any neighbors, and only heard a few sirens. It truly was a fantastic getaway!
We enjoyed our vacation stay in Eastham. The property was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It was situated close to beaches, restaurants, and shops, but off the main road giving a sense of privacy.

This highlights one of the unique advantages of the Cottage. It's private as it's in a private community, but within walking distances of some restaurants and shops. One can walk to Campground beach (a mile away) or bicycle to Coast Guard Beach (three miles away).

the house was wonderful, had enough space and very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the house.
the house was wonderful, had enough space and very comfortable beds. it had a super beautiful wooden table with a place for 10 people to sit. The internet worked very well. It had plenty of dishes, cutlery, pots and bowls. We love the porch with the table, chairs and grills.
We had trouble locating the house, as it was dark and on the post in front of the street that was the house it showed a sign with the number 35. I had to get out of the car and walk from house to house looking very close to make sure what number scored.
And we also had problems with little water flow and some plugs near the stove and on the sink wall did not work.
But I called the manager and he promptly came and solved the problem. The floor was with a lot dusting and we have to do vacuum before getting in, but it is not big deal
Any way The weather was excellent and we all enjoyed your beautiful and comfortable home very much.
We check out on Sunday at 4:30 pm
Thank You very much
This lovely home is very comfortable and roomy, nestled into a grove of trees on a side road lending a wonderful sense of privacy. There were only two of us this visit, but it was easy to see how up to 11 people could manage well in the thoughtful layout of this “home away from home”. Well-stocked, very clean, and perfect location near to everything you love about the Cape!
We had a fabulous stay at Oak Groves Cottage. Hosts were very responsive. There was plenty of space for everyone in our party. Throughout the weekend we had various family members stop by and everyone had plenty of room. The side deck was so pleasant to relax on with morning coffee or dinner for all. Chairs were plentiful for the deck and there were enough beach chairs for all provided. We brought our own linens due to Covid, but hadn't thought of bath mats. Also, I'm sure this was a very different experience due to Covid so there were no supplies in the kitchen (such as salt & pepper) which when we have stayed at various rentals before kitchen supplies were available. Location was central to many things and we were able to walk to get breakfast, lunch or coffee. Would definitely recommend this place and would consider staying there again!!!
The cottage is a wonderful family spot to vacation on the cape. The cottage is perfect for families large and small. The kids bunk room was a hit with all 4 kids teens and toddlers. The owner is amazing and accommodating. Communication was quick any tome we messaged him prior to our stay. Thank you for making this trip an amazing one!!

You are welcome! Thank you for staying with us. You have highlighted one of our best features: kids always love the bunkroom. Our cottage is rented primarily by family groups. There is room for all. The cottage is indeed hidden in our private community and so is private. It is also convenient to amenities.
We loved our stay at this cute cottage! Location could not have been better! Bay and ocean beaches within 5 minutes of house. Comfy and clean home with everything we needed!

About the host

My husband and I own Oak Grove Cottage #2. My parents lived on Cape Cod in Eastham, Mass and operated a small bed and breakfast. My husband and I grew to love the area. We love riding bikes and hiking trails and well as visiting the ocean beaches and fresh water ponds. We learned the hospitality business from my parents. I grew up in Massachusetts and attended University of Mass/ Amherst. My husband grew up in Kansas and is a graduate of the US Naval Academy. He served on submarines during the Cold War. We now live in Baltimore, Maryland. Husband is a Mechanical engineer and I work as a Fire Protection Technician.
We have renters that come back every summer for vacation. One group has been renting Oak Grove Unit #2 for 10+ years.
My husband thinks home repair is fun! Refinishing floors and replacing bathroom fixtures gives him great satisfaction. He is constantly working to updating some aspect of the cottage.
Why they chose this property
This cottage is in a private and secluded community surrounded by Oak trees. One entrance road serves 6 cottages. There is no traffic. The cottage is spacious. It is much larger than it looks from the outside. A perfect space for multi-generations of families to enjoy. We love to rent to families that include grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts and children. Our competent property manager is native to Cape Cod. He is very attentive and fixes problems quickly. And he is not grumpy... well maybe a little grumpy if you call him at 3am.
What makes this property unique
Although it is secluded and private, there are restaurants, bike rentals, bike trail, bay-side beaches, ice cream and donut shops and small grocery stores within walking distance. This is a great benefit if you do not wish to drive in the summer traffic. Very easy to get to Provincetown to go Whale -watching!
