Lovely property with excellent pool and garden

This was a lovely property for an intergenerational family holiday - the garden and pool were perfect. Lovely open plan living area and kitchen. Pool table also a hit with everyone. Very quiet village with nearest shop 10 min drive - we enjoyed visits to La Rochelle and Ile de Rey. We were slightly disappointed that the bicycles in the listing were not available as we could have brought one or two of our own if we knew.

thank you for your very pleasant comment and I would like to welcome you again at the villa meunière. Regarding bicycles, they are no longer offered for rental. The maintenance of bicycles is a profession in itself, and when in the past we had tried to offer them with the house it did not work. I wish you an excellent return home.

House is lovely - plenty of room for a family gathering of 11 (7 adults and 4 kids) The pool and grounds were great too, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need for a large number of people.It is well placed for the beach (we preferred Châtelaillon-Plage) and other sights. Some lovely local restaurants nearby (the hosts recommendation - Recre - was excellent). Would also recommend a boat trip at Green VeniceCommunication with the host was fine for the most part. There was some confusion due to his expectations at check out not being clear (we left in the morning, which upset him as he had wanted to do a more formal handover and inventory, despite not doing one at check in) but that is easily solvable with clearer instructions from the host.Additionally, a note that next door to the house is some sort of community space. At the weekends (Friday and Saturday nights) there were loud parties and music playing, from early afternoon until around 2 - 3 am. It didn't bother us too much, but not what we expected in a small village!

Excellent séjour

La maison est très agréable, bien équipée. La piscine est un réel plus, et elle est chauffée. Nous en avons bien profité malgré un week-end du 1er mai un peu frais. La procédure d'arrivée pourrait être améliorée avec plus d'explications (un petit livret avec les emplacements des différentes affaires et les modes d'emploi simplifiés serait un réel plus). Quelques détails pourraient être revus (support pour le pommeau de douche, porte-serviette, fonctionnement de la TV,...). Environnement calme, aux portes du marais poitevin. Sylvie a été très disponible pour nous accueillir.

Location ideale pour des vacances entre amis

Tout est réuni pour passer des vacances agréables : une demeure superbement rénovée, une grande pièce à vivre conviviale avec un billard, une cuisine spacieuse totalement équipée avec 2 réfrigérateurs, la possibilité de dîner à 10 dehors avec un grand jardin sans vis à vis. Pas de commerces sur place mais on trouve tout à 10 minutes de voiture. Mais l'atout numéro un de cette location est incontestablement sa grande piscine chauffée (26°), ce qui permet den profiter meme quand la meteo est moins clémente

Pour passer une semaine reposante lieu idéal dans une belle bâtisse. Maison très bien équipée et décorée. Un tout petit regret il manque juste une salle d’eau et wc. La piscine est magnifique.

We all had a lovely stay in Le Bourdet

We had a lovely time time staying in this super house in La Bourdet. We were 7 adults including our two sons, nephew family friend of theirs and partner of the eldest, our three year old grand daughter and a cockapoo dog ......and we all enjoyed the house and what it had to offer allot. The weather was very mixed and quite cool / rainy at times and having the huge TV and a pool table, and plenty to do and play around with made the house really flexible. The pool was heated and very well looked after and even in cool weather was useable. Sylvie who welcomed us and was on hand for any problems, was lovely and the house was spotless. I can thoroughly recommend this property as a great space and location for a group trip or a big family holiday.

Parfait !

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine dans une maison décorée avec soin et raffinement. La demeure est parfaitement équipée et convient à de grandes familles et que dire de la piscine dont les enfants ont raffolé ! Idéalement située, nous avons particulièrement apprécié les balades dans le marais poitevin à vélo et en barque. Une chose est sure : nous reviendrons !
